I imagine Sato doesn't know anything about it, but Shakespeare's plays were done with male actors playing female roles, since, you know, women weren't allowed to act :rolleyes

It's also something Shakespeare loved to poke fun at, since a few of his plays involved women pretending to be men (which of course meant it was a man pretending to be a woman pretending to be a man).
