Rui Shinichi | Drama Club Auditions Eventually it was his turn to get up on stage. Everyone else's performances were varying, some good, some okay, some bad. As he took to stage, he took a deep breath, and his performance...? "Swift as a shadow, short as any dream, Brief as the lightning in the collied night, That, in a spleen, unfolds both heaven and earth; So quick bright things come to confusion." His was... Dramatic. He elected to speak as if he were a count of some kind of castle, or something. It felt that way to him at least, the content of the lines he and everyone else was provided felt that way to him. He knew for sure it was Shakespearean, but he cannot recall which one, likely one he had never seen. With each line his piercing gaze did not falter, and he didn't seem to have trouble with stage fright either... As evident from before the beginning. His line delivery was impressive, with even pacing that changed depending on the words and punctuation, but he didn't move much at all, only an occasional hand gesture. It appears he was able to remember his lines to not need the sheet though.
