Jackson Rosewood closed his eyes as he leaned back in his black office chair in his officer. This was the second month his club had been opening, and if he did say so himself business was booming, it was also the easiest way for Jackson to get his meal for the evening. The bouncers and bartenders that worked for him were all compelled to know what he truly was, but to not say anything, which was for the best. Those thoughtless humans didn't believe vampires existed and it was better that way. He rubbed his chin thoughtfully. It was a hour until opening and he was hoping to find the one tonight, but he did every night.

He had been looking for decades. Once, back in the mid-1800's, he thought he found her, but she died suddenly, maybe it was an illness, or maybe a boat accident, he wasn't sure it happened too fast and in those days Jackson was a different man then he was now. Since then he hadn't been with a woman, except to use for his own personal needs or as a meal. He licked his lips, feeling very hungry all of a sudden. Jackson stood up. He was dressed in dark khakis and a white shirt. The sleeves were rolled up to his elbows and the top two buttons done to show off some of his muscular chest.

Jackson was very fit with well tones muscles and chiseled abs. His dark brown hair fell over his eyes and he shook his head to reveal dark purple eyes, almost black. They turned that color when he was hungry and on a normal day they were a lighter brown color. He walked out of his office casually, one hand in the pocket of his pants as he nodded towards the bouncer to open the doors. Like the previous nights, there was a line building up outside, people just waiting to come in and party it up, and he was looking forward to doing the same.

Yvette stood at her window, the wind blowing gently as she opened it. She just needed some fresh air. With a deep inhale, she told herself to calm down; it had been a rough few weeks. But she had made the decision now to get out and try to meet someone new. Whether it was for tonight, for a month, or forever, she was opening herself up tonight.
Finding her boyfriend in bed with her bestfriend was not something she expected to get over. She knew that now; some wounds don't heal, but she was telling herself now that it's all right. It hurts losing two people close as they were, and though you don't exactly get better, you move on. It's just not going to be easy. But what really is these days?
Yvette threw open her laptop and turned on her favorite playlist and started getting ready to go out. It was about an hour before the club opened, and she had her heart set on going out. It wasn't really her scene, going to a club, but she was open for new things. She smeared on her makeup, a bit heavier than usual for theatrics, and sang along to some of her favorite songs. She danced around a little, stopping when a bright blush slapped her in the face when she remembered her window was open.
After she finished getting ready, she stepped outside, keys in hand. She gazed at her car, but as the wind blew, she realized she was just in the mood to walk. So she stuffed the keys in her purse and made her way to the club. It wasn't too far, maybe a ten minute walk. She soon arrived and awaited in line for the bouncer to let her in, ID out and her excitement growing with the blaring sound within the club.

Jackson remained at his usual spot up at the DJ booth, that way he could scan the crowd for the one he'd take home that night and feed from then send on their way. The DJ's booth was on its own personal stage, really it was high enough Jackson could see the top of the heads of the patrons in the club. Many different smells from the humans hit him and he found himself real hungry, but he fought his hunger rather well, maybe it was just the many, many years of practice he had. One particular smell stood out to him, and he knew she would be the one he'd choose tonight. "Put something lively on... get the crowd pumping." Jackson said to the DJ who nodded. Jackson slowly walked down the steps to the dance floor and where drinks were being served.

Instantly women were over him, which wasn't something new. He was extremely handsome and he gave off an aura about him that made him irresistible to women. None of them were the one so he shrugged them off, leaving many disappointed faces behind. He frowned in disappointment as he approached the bar. Her scent was still strong, but he couldn't find her. He had to have that girl. "Just rum and coke, Geoffery." Jackson said to the bartender, a buff man who was wearing a cut off black shirt and dark jeans. When he handed him his drink, Jackson took a sip and turned around, still trying to sniff out the woman.

Yvette soon arrived inside, where the the sound nearly smacked her in the face, and the thrash of people pushed her right away. She squealed as she ducked under a flailed, drunken arm. She got bumped by another, and nearly landed on her face. She soon found herself pushing out of a thrash of people and seeking refuge at the bar. She was quickly stopped, though. "Hey, pretty," Came a slurred voice, behind a thick stench of liquor breathe. She groaned again and shoved passed him, nearly tripping as she landed at a bar stool. My God, this is crazier than I expected! She thought in exasperation. She hadn't taken into consideration that she was a very small girl, exceedingly short for her age. She tried to hide her embarrassment as the bartender stifled his laughter at her expense.
"I'd like a Screwdriver, please." She said, trying to come off cooly so he'd stop smirking. She groaned and held her head; maybe this wasn't such a good idea. She'd never been to a club, she'd never fit into this scene. What made her think she could now? Just because she'd had a few trials these last few weeks? It didn't make you a different person, it just... happened.

The smell became stronger now. Jackson froze, it was almost like it was next to him. It was next to him. He finished off his rum and looked just in time to notice a drunk man trying to grab a girl- a rather beautiful girl- for his own pleasure but she seemed to have handled him rather well. This was her. He smiled to himself and made his way to the girl. "I apologize for the crowd- it's busier then I would have expected." Jackson called out to her over the loud music. His name wasn't big or well known just yet, as a matter of fact no one in the building would know he was the owner unless he decided to to tell them himself, but he hasn't. "I'm Jackson." He said, introducing himself to the woman. She was breathtaking, her appearance and the scent radiating off her from her rich blood.

Yvette looked towards the source of the voice, and her breath caught. He was extremely handsome. She fought the heat in her cheeks, not wanting him to notice she was trying not to blush. She'd felt this way around attractive men, but not so handsome as himself. "Nice to meet you! I'm Yvette." She smiled to him, "Do you come here often?" She inquired. She hoped he could hear her well enough over the music, and given her experience moment ago, she really hoped he wasn't weird like that Guy had been. He was so handsome, and he seemed nice enough. There was something cryptic in a way about him, that made her feel both intimidated and attracted to him at the same time.

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Yvette. That is a lovely name." He commented, his voice smooth and non threatening. He chuckled when she asked if he came here often. Oh, if she only knew. "Indeed. I'm here every weekend, it's like I live here." He said, which was all true. Underground he had his own little place he rested in during the day. "How about yourself? This is the first time I've seen you and believe me, I would've noticed a beautiful woman such as yourself who has been here before." He added on, motioning for another round of drinks. "Allow me." He said, putting her drink on his tab, of course he got his drinks for free since he was the owner. "Are you enjoying it so far? Despite the rather large crowd." He added.

Yvette couldn't help but blush now when he called her lovely. When he'd turned and gotten the drinks, she took this opportunity to look him over and was thankful she'd already been blushing. He was just beautiful, and she wondered how he wasn't already with someone. Why was he talking to her now, when there were so many other pretty girls?
"This is my first time here," She smiled, "I've never even been to a club, actually. And before was a bit rough, but I'm definitely enjoying myself now." She smiled to him. Oh damn, son, that was a good line! Keep doing that! She mentally high-fived herself. She drank some of her liquid courage and hoped it'd help her game out a bit. Maybe if she just got a small buzz, she could keep it up and hold this guys attention.

Jackson smiled. "First time, eh? Well first timers that I admire well get all their drinks on the house tonight, and I don't admire a lot of people, Yvette." He said, her name rolling off his tongue. He gave her a charming smiled at her comment. "I do hope that I was part of it, the enjoying yourself part, I mean." He said, leaning in closer to her. "I don't like people having an awful time..." She leaned in to whisper to her. "Especially in my club." She said before pulling back, smiling at her. He nodded when Geoffery brought their drinks. He held his up and tilted it to Yvette for a small cheers before he took a sip of it.

She really was quite beautiful and he felt his hunger grow, but the rum would numb it for only a little while. He couldn't get drunk, well he could but it'd take a lot of it, it only subsided his hunger.

Yvette could almost feel herself do a flip when he whispered in her ear. If she wanted this to continue, she'd need more alcohol for her nerves. She took another sip of her drink, trying to play this off cooly. "Your club?" She inquired, tilting her head in curiosity. Does he really own this club? Is he trying to make me crazy? She thought. Just then, stinker breath bumped into her and nearly knocked her off her seat. He had gotten into a drunken fight, which looked quite sad, actually. They were slurring their words, and she couldn't understand what they were arguing about.

Jackson smiled. "Yes, my club, love. Been open a couple months and I must admit I'm quite enjoying it." He said but sighed when she was almost knocked off her seat. Another fight. "Excuse me." He said, He got in the middle of the fight and grabbed the two men easily, thanks to his strength, and dragged them outside. "Don't come back. You can continue your fight in the nearest alley if you wish." He said in a deathly calm voice before shoving the two men out of his club. He nodded at the bouncer to not let them back in before he resumed his place beside Yvette. "I apologize for that." He said with a slight incline of his head. "One too many drinks, I suppose." He said as he fixed his sleeves.

"I guess so," she replied, rubbing the back of her head where he's bumped her. "What inspired you to open up a club?" She smiled, sipping her drink. She twirled her aqua hair around her finger out of nervous habit. Maybe it was the alcohol, or his demeanor, but she felt much more comfortable and at ease than before. He seemed like a very nice guy, and she couldn't take her eyes off of him.

Jackson shrugged. "I'm a night owl and I figured a club would bring in the best income for myself. My family has money anyway, so I used some of my inheritance to get it started." He answered, finishing his drink. He watched as she twirled her aqua hair between his fingers and briefly found himself thinking to what it'd be like through his fingers and when he would pull her head back and feed from her soft flesh. Her blood was screaming at him, but he fought urge down rather well. "Care to dance, Yvette?" He asked. Yes, that's what he needed to take his mind off everything. A dance with the beautiful woman.

"That makes sense," She responded when he mentioned his reasoning. She had never put in much thought to how much you could make having a club.
Yvette blushed again and nodded. "A dance would be nice," she smiled. She left her glass on the bar and stood up, listening to what was playing. It was a fairly upbeat songs, and this helped calm her nerves as well as the drinks had. It was when she stood she realized just how much taller he was than herself, and she really liked that.

Jackson chuckled and nodded. "Truthfully the most sense I've made in years." He commented. When she accepted his offer for a dance, Jackson smiled. "Excellent." He said. He walked behind her to the dance floor and motioned for the DJ to play something soft and sultry. The song switched to just that. Jackson held Yvette close as they danced, her blood was practically screaming at him now. He could just feed from her now and compel her not to remember. He was capable of healing so he could just heel the small wounds from his sharp teeth. It was dark enough no one would notice, they'd just think he was kissing on her neck, and he usually was neat when it came to feeding, unless you crossed him then he'd tear your throat out.

He had to do it a few times before.

When the tune changed, Yvette bit back her umpteenth blush of the evening. She hadn't expected that one! She stayed close to Jackson, now feeling fairly swallowed by his size. She was a fairly good dancer, as she'd taken lessons when she was a teen, before she'd become more of a shut-in. She felt fairly proud of herself, and hoped it wasn't just the booze telling her she was a good dancer. The way he was looking at her felt so intense, and she wondered if she really was impressing him or if she was getting on his nerves. I don't think he'd still be here if I was annoying him... She told herself. So she simply stuck with the positive, and continued dancing.

Jackson smiled as she moved perfectly with the slow rhythm. It was erotic and sultry to him, perfect feeding music. He turned the girl around stared at her , continuing to move. Contrary to what the books and movies said, a vampire bite contained pure bliss. He leaned down, unable to contain his hunger much longer, and kissed the soft flesh on her neck before penetrating his fangs into the flesh. Her blood was sweet and filled his body. He only took a little to take the desire off, but enough to fill him. He sucked and licked the spot before pulling back, not a trace of blood left.

Jackson stared deep into her eyes, ready to compel her.

Yvette gasped when he began kissing her neck, and let her head lull back as he did so. Then he did something else; it felt sharp, but absolutely exhilarating. She took a sharp breathe, not realizing she had been holding it until he pulled away. And then she really wished he hadn't. She felt fairly woozy, and now his eyes were burning through hers, and she couldn't look away. She didn't know if she was still dancing, or if she was completely still. All she really knew at that moment was that she wanted him.

"Forget what I just did- it never happened." He said and not taking his eyes from her, he bit his finger and rubbed his blood on the two holes. They disappeared almost instantly and he wiped the excess blood of her neck before breaking eye contact. "You appear to be a bit faint, would you like to take a break and get something to drink?" Jackson asked the young woman politely. The song had changed to something upbeat now and he figured the girl felt woozy from him drinking her blood, they usually did. He was careful not to take too much, but enough to satisfy his fill.
