[b]Personality:[/b] 
-Even among forest-living, sullen, glum, withdrawn Finns Samppa is considered archaic. He is almost like ancient Finns who lived on these lands centuries ago, dressing in plain clothes and living secluded. Samppa does not miss the old days with all the electronic vanities and consumer society. Instead he romanticizes primeval times after founding and reading old Finnish poetry. Others though him crazy when he abandoned the settlement and moved to live in the forest in simple linen clothes. It's not certain did he discovered his Mage-skills before or after moving in the wilderness, but living in mist of nature has given him plenty opportunities to practice his skills. Using the old poetry as guidance Samppa has become closer to the nature and the spirits living in there. Samppa is not sharpest pencil in tool shed and may seem like blabbering lunatic to outsiders as he mutters to himself and waves around to spirits others can't see, but he knows the surrounding forest almost as well than his dirty pockets. 
Also possibly crazy.

[b]Background:[/b] 
-Samppa Jylhä was born in settlement of Eno. He liked reading old books as there was not much else to choose from. As a child he was especially interested about folklore and superstition. On older age that was forgotten and he would have become normal person in society, or what remains of it, if not he wouldn't had found old poetry collection. The book was older than any other book he had read, printed decades before the Outbreak. It had poets and stories of old folklore, dating from ancient Finnish people who lived centuries ago. It all effected Samppa strongly, possibly activating dormant gene of his ancestors. After studying the book thoroughly, Samppa decided to live like his ancestors, leaving the settlement and survive on natures conditions. He roved to small island and build himself a tiny log cabin. There he practiced contacting natures spirits and creating bond with them. He does not harm the spirits and they leave him alone.
