"Whoa!" Shirako exclaims, raising his hands as though in defence to Yosuke's words. "Yo, let'er speak." He added, nodding his head to a slow beat. "I wish I was joking, but..." Mayuri paused, the air growing stiller and colder by the moment. "There's nothing I can do about it... The house and business is being sold out from under me... There's nothing I can do about it..." Mayuri immediately began to sob, though she quickly made herself act strong for everyone else. "I wouldn't leave you guys for the world, but sometimes you're not the one in control... If I'm honest I'd like to be friends with you guys forever..." There was a certain amount of hesitation in her voice. This was leading somewhere... "And so I'd like to perform a charm." "Hey, c'mon, Mayu! You know you could easily stay with one of us!" Jinta stated, emphasizing the group around her. "We could all pitch in, ya know? A sort of charity! 'Save the Student Council President' charity, yeah? We might even get the whole school involved!" Mayuri couldn't help but smile at Jinta's comforting words. "I wish it were that simple, but...there are a lot of complications... I'm just preparing for the worst case scenario...again." She said that final part with at least some sense of joy, as though to lighten the mood. Her motion swift, Mayuri zipped open her messenger bag and rummaged around in it for awhile, only to retrieve... ...a plain, white paper doll of undefined detail. It shined in the dim light, glowing luminously and certainly drawing the eye of those in the classroom. Mayuri was never one or supernatural things or special events, really. The Halloween event was a surprise enough, and this charm to boot? She obviously was preparing for a worst case scenario...
