[b]Personality:[/b] Calm and collected, Leonid's years in the army have hardened his personality. Though he still tries to act as a sort of mentor to the younger conscripts. He's a dedicated Communist, though he secretly resents the current state of the USSR under Stalin.

[b]Brief history:[/b] Born in 1898 in Kazakhstan, Leonid hails from a family of miners. The young Leonid joined the Czarist army, spurred on by patriotic fervor, in 1915. The abysmal conditions of the Polish front pushed the young conscript to the edge, and when the Revolution came he gladly defected to the Bolsheviks. 

Leonid fought in the Civil War and the Polish-Soviet War under the command of Trostsky and Tukachevsky, and it was his not so secret admiration for these two great men that led to his discharge in the mid-1930s, somehow avoiding death during the Great Purge. When the Winter War started Leonid tried to returned to the Red Army, to fight for his Motherland.
