Matt reached the front doors and leaned against the glass waiting for the rest of the band to arrive. Pulling his phone out to check the time he noticed a message from Søren that he had to have missed earlier. Reading the short message Matt had a second where he wondered if it had actually been sent by the eccentric bassist, as the message was much more normal than one would expect from Søren. Dismissing the thought Søren may have been replaced with an imposter Matt gave thanks that the message had actually been intelligible rather than one of Søren's overly dramatic monologues that made deciphering basic information more effort than it was normally worth. With the knowledge of the bands imminent arrival gleaned from Soren's text Matt decided to wait outside. As fate would have it just as Matt stepped outside the van pulled into the parking lot, it's presence was quickly followed by three sharp horn blasts. These were presumably to draw Matt's attention, not that he could have easily missed the purple van if he had tried. As the band piled out of the van Parker joshingly inquired as to Matt's presence at the studio prior to rehearsal starting. Giving the drummer a grin of his own Matt responded in kind "C'mon man, you know I'm never late, giving a chuckle mid-sentence he continued "the rest of you are just early most days." Following Parker around to the back of the van Matt grabbed a couple cymbals and let Parker in on the real reason as to his notably early arrival "Honestly though you'd of been early too had you spent all day not writing the same song, had to get out of the apartment before that song drove me crazy."
