James was silent, sitting down on the heavy oak chair. He'd placed a small vial on each desk. The first lesson would be a simple one, a basic test. He'd start them off with a bang, and then move to the more subtle teachings. Even if half of them fled after realizing what Survival class is about, he'd make sure the first lesson would give them something they couldn't get almost anywhere else in the academy. He would nearly kill them. They'd face their fears, and either live or die. He would drop them in the deep end, and watch to see if they swam or sank. And of course, if there were casualties, the others would be all the more motivated to succeed. Sitting with his eyes closed, James patiently awaited the ringing of the massive church bell that sounded the start of class. It would not be long before his students were here, and he would need his full concentration during the lesson.
