Gideon stood on the docks of the approaching ship, slowly drifting into port. Gideon had been in Pomria for only a short amount of time, but he had already gained sizable knowledge of the area. The Bauchan forest was increasingly becoming a target of interest, with many expeditions into forest. Gideon had seen a handful of adventurers before now, the idea of joining them entertaining him, but ultimately failing to convince him to join on the journey. Gideon had seen many different kinds of people, all heading for the treasure in the forest. Gideon leaned lazily on his stave, as he watched the boat approach. Gideon had spent the last several days going out with an older gentleman, whom had been generously been allowed to use the military port, occasionally. The old man 'hired' Gideon to go out on his small schooner to help with fishing. Gideon had just been dropped off, and the old man had left for home, leaving Gideon on the stone dock. Gideon had no home, and often attempted to find areas outside of the docks to sleep, but to no avail, leading to his nightly imprisonment by the port authorities on more than one occasion. Gideon would do what he was apt to do with most ships that came into port: Ask the captain if there was any kind of work he could do for the captain, in exchange for a ride to another land. Gideon was nearly tired of Pomria, even though his period here was short.
