The huff she heard made her glance his way as she was setting up the wall of snow. It seemed he wanted to complain, but he held his tongue and simply lay down. After making sure the wall was sturdy enough to hold she sat down in the opposite corner of the cave, leaving a few feet of space between them. She heard the howl in the distance, but ignored it for now. It was a good distance away and their scent was hard to track in this snow. 'So, what happened to you?' she asked, gesturing at his wounds before whipping her tail at his muzzle. 'Stop licking, it'll wipe away the herbs.' she said sternly.
