Instead he quickly paced through the forest, his eyes observing the area with malice intent. The red lantern illuminating his path. It only took a few moments for him to realize the path back to Randold and Hania had somehow altered. About five minutes of walking resulted in a fork in the road. Shouts, howling and other such noises could be heard towards the right. Surely that's where Anise would have ventured off too, her hopeless attempt at saving the other two probably resulting in her demise. He would be disappointed, having his kill stolen, but joyful a kill took place nonetheless. However, on the left, the sound of rushing water coupled with a faint light caught Arin's attention. Signs of life maybe? There wouldn't be any harm in investigating. Anise and the others were pretty much doomed in his mind. It wouldn't hurt to at least take a look. And so, Arin took off to the left, holding the reddened lantern up high as he cautiously made his way up the hill.
