Iunno what to tell ya, Strudel. I guess you could meet up with Romt and Freya on their way to Junction Town if you wanted, though I don't know if our interaction would be long-term unless Nexus joined up with them for their job.

At the moment there's like 4 different stories going on!

Yeah, sandbox does that. It's a bit of a situation where everyone is gonna either be alone, or some of them will be working towards the same goals. At least from my experience. I'm used to either going solo or getting left behind in roleplays, so I have found myself perfectly fine with being alone and doing my own thing. Not to say I hate character interaction, but most people either have characters I want nothing to do with, or they want nothing to do with me in turn. It's pretty messy, heh.

I've done mostly NRP for most of my RP Career and I preferred to start secluded so I can get some footing before the closest scrub-lord decides to go Age of Empires and declare war for no purpose but empty conquest. And even post-footing I've had to deal with people who pulled out so much shit from their ass in order to win that conflict wasn't worth it and uninteresting to write.

As per how I'll be running Rusted Bit: I am prepared to have - if temporarily - other's cross his path and travel along with him for a while. I'm also planning out how to delay his travel so it isn't a straight route to Neighagra.

Hm, I generally like to have other people posting alongside me.
Maybe it's just because that's how all the RPs I've been in have worked ^^; For the most part I've never had any problems with other players... Aside from when the stop posting for no apparent reason =/

People randomly leaving - esspecially easy - is another factor why I prefer a bit of independence. At least at the start. If there are people who have kept posting for a long time since day-one then there's little fear I have in them disappearing given they've shown dedication. But having everyone forced to interact straight out the gate has a chance that when someone disappears the entire RP will go to shit. I've been in a few like that, in one particular case the entire plot of the beginning part hinged on one guy posting and he never delivered.

At least from my perspective: the prospect of everyone being independent of each other leads to the chance that if someone does drop out unexplained then the show can move on.

I suppose if you need ideas then you could look at how Chapa as a slave-hunter and add it to your character being a former slave. In that case someone could have an out-standing warrant on your character for her return. So you could get with him to perhaps plan out something involving him. And until the point you and him can begin some loosely jointed story you could write through some general introductory things. Sort of a exaggerated 12:00 on the heroes' formula hypothesis. Do some thing to familiarize us with things not otherwise in the app or implied. Or add some short scenarios she could react to for character building. And then Chapa gets involved and kicks yours and his stories into the body of the story.

Fuck, I've been awfully busy/lazy this week. I have a post sitting in my PM box, half finished, which I'll try to get up over the weekend.

I hope the roughly twenty new things in my rotator are sexi enuf.

I feel like this is what this OOC thread will boil down to, lol. But not to break the combo: I'm working to it. But I'm writing a post for the RPs I haven't made a post for in the longest time. Which means that the one I need to post for is the one that demands the longest posts.
