Kiku approached Yume's direction and read through the article. Her head gave sudden throbs of pain as Kiku exclaimed with disbelief. His breathing once again became intense as he started to slightly stumble upon his footsteps.Yume quickly grabbed Kiku by both of his shoulders and rubbed his back to reassure his state. By then, his breathing was normal after all. He pointed out. Yume's eyes widened. 1973? What a long time ago.... Yume nodded in agreement.Yume gave a long deep sigh and did her best to push up a smile at him. Brushing off thoughts, she clasped onto Kiku's sleeve and slowly made their way, carefully avoiding loose floor boards. Yume suggested. An open classroom was just near by as she stepped inside ahead of Kiku, but had never let go of his sleeve. She pushed the classroom door wide open to let in light. With careful steps inside as creaks of the floor echoed, the sight that met her eyes inside the room gave her heart a leap of relief.A figure of a body was found lying on the ground by the far dark end of the room.Someone! Someone was here! Maybe it's one of the others! With excitement, Yume ran and reached out her arm towards it. But Yume's assumption was completely wrong. It was a body, but not alive. It was a corpse, freshly rotting with a part of it's skull revealing. It's uniform showed that it was a male student from another school.Yume halted and fell down, crawling backwards and reaching out to Kiku.
"It's a shame, isn't it?" A voice suddenly spoke up from behind Kiku and Yume, sounding somewhat ghostly yet mostly...alive. The voice belonged to that of a man, certainly older than both Kiku and Yume, who appeared to be in his mid-twenties. His hair was jet black, matching his bloodied suit, and seemed to be dressed like that of a teacher. Or at least that's the persona that he gave off. His eyes were cold and empty, almost resembling those of a dead fish, which were a complete mismatch for his glasses, which appeared to be the only normal thing on his body. In his right hand he held a closed notebook. Mysterious Man "But that's the way this world works, I suppose..." He walked ahead of the two students and knelt down beside the body, seemingly inspecting it. He then flipped open his notebook and began scribbling with a pen, murmuring all the while. "Flesh from skull torn out. Died from excessive blood loss and shock. Student ID name: ... Hiroshi Maiyata." The notebook closed and the mysterious man turned to face the duo. "Well, it's not often that I come across ones so fresh! You're new to this school, no? I detected your energy readings when you entered this nexus." The man chuckled slightly for reasons unknown. He then proceeded to clear his throat. "My apologies. I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Kei Tsukino, however you may refer to me as Kei-sensei. I was a teacher in life and I intend to do the same even after death." His words were calm and oddly easing, and, most importantly, had a certain trustworthiness in them.
