Let's just say that a temporary withdrawal of troops to reinforce a certain area/front of the village would probably happen realistically -- this is a small village with only a few guards. We're basically just testing the squad right now. 

That aside, the Russians on the other side will likely have to retreat sooner or later, cause it's pretty certain that the Germans would call for reinforcements from a motorised department which would arrive pretty fast.
