"Errrr..." Sarah was starting to hate that question. Everyone else people knew instantly or at least could guess. This would have gone so much better if the guys hadn't bailed and had come along with their matching costumes. Everyone knew the Doctor, Bayonetta and the others at a glance. Even though she didn't know Protoman herself she recognized him from the Mega-man series. There was a certain leap of excitement people received when they recognized what character the person was dressed up as. Nothing needed be said. It was like a bolt of lightning. Hers had a whole story behind it and she was stuck telling it each time. "I'm Assallya Kressair," she answered, "my D&- Dungeons and Dragons character from our tabletop game. I'm also dead. I mean she's dead..." She then pointed at the plastic dagger once more, her costume bracelets clinking together making a sound that was definitely cheap plastic and not metal. "She died last session, dagger throw to the head, so my friends who were supposed to be here thought I should change my costume to reflect that. Hence the body paint and contact lenses. I mean.. it's not the perfect costume since my character was kinda naked at the time I died and you can't really go to a convention naked even if you were crazy enough to be that brave though I hear up in Canada they go in nothing but body painted cloth- but you don't want to hear about all that." Sarah tittered, a silly little sound and put her hand to her face, black fingernails touching the black stained lips as she shut herself up. That was probably the worst retelling of that story yet by far. Her cheeks once again flushed. Gods, she was a twenty year old and these kids who were years younger than her had more composure than her. Buck up Sarah, she thought to herself, and get with the program! It's a little late to change your costume at this point. "Sorry... I'm rambling. I sometimes ramble when I get nervous. Soooo... Zelda...in Samus armour... I wonder if that would work as a cosplay?"
