**** Kyoko Akiyama **** Kyoko awoke to the sound of birds chirping. Hey eyes slowly adjusted to the light entering into her room through her bedroom window. She lifted her arm that was buried under dossier papers and her covers. She glanced to the right to her bed side table and saw a half drank bottle of wine. “Kariru is getting to be too much of an influence on me.” She said gently massaging her temples and pushing herself out of her bed. She headed over to her bathroom and looked into the mirror, grimacing at her reflection. “Gods…” She said quietly pulling her clothes off and sleepily stepping into the shower, washing away the previous night. Kariru threw on her training gear and fastened her vest on tightly. She stopped at the front door fastening her headband to her thigh and stepping out. She could tell by the sun it must’ve been around midday, she was due at the training field, but she decided she would be late. Today was a day she needed to find out everything the dossiers couldn’t about her new pupils. She stopped at a small food market and picked up a fresh loaf of bread, she looked for something else to pick up, perhaps something for her students; but she decided they’d have to earn it first. She went down to a small river running through a smaller portion of the village and picked apart the loaf, throwing it into the river for some ducks that quickly nibbled it up. She had two head strong Genin that were so determined to become a member of the Granite Guard, yet they had no clue what that truly meant. Kyoko let a deep sigh escape her lips as she felt a nibbling on her hand as she discovered two ducklings eating the bread from her hand. She smiled at the symbolism and decided it’d be best if she get to her pupil’s now. She pushed herself up from off the ground and continued past the river, stepping on top of it with her chakra and walked through it. She made it to the training grounds and noticed both of her pupils had already arrived, it seemed she must’ve remembered to contact them both last night and tell them to be there. She walked up to them with a kind smile and introduced herself. “Hello, my name is Kyoko Akiyama and I will be your instructor until you’re both ready to become full-fledged members of the Granite Guard yourself. Now, I’d like to address some quick things first. If you’ve both already heard the rumors” Kyoko said moving her hair from over her Sharingan eye “yes. I do possess the Sharingan, it’s been a great help in my training as a Genjutsu specialist.” Kyoko said, recovering her eye as to not intimidate the young Genin. “There will be no tolerance for the shaming of my name.” She continued. “From now on you’re all the best citizens Iwagakure could ask for. Finally, you will not, by any means necessary, disobey any order I give you, am I understood?” She asked, though the question was relatively rhetorical, she still had a kind air to her, but it was now a commanding one.   **** Kariru Tsuyo **** Kariru didn’t wake up until about midday, a bottle of jack in her hand and, if her unreliable memory of last night served her, a man by the same name in her bed. She groggily shifted out of bed, fixed her hair to the best of her ability and began making breakfast. It seemed the man had smelled the food from the kitchen because he made his way down and took a seat. “Get the hell out you loser.” Kariru said harshly, the man seemed surprised, but didn’t argue, getting dressed and exiting the building. Kariru sighed and held her head, it was pounding. She shot back a bit of sake that was in a gourd she kept in the fridge before pouring some into the pan as she fried an egg. She finished the egg and threw the pan into the sink after placing the egg on a crude plate fashioned from stone she had gotten as a souvenir for a mission she had partaken in when she was a Genin. She knew she had to go meet her students soon, she just didn’t want to. Kariru grabbed the bottle once more and lifted it to her lips, but it was empty. She threw the bottle behind her hearing it shatter against the back wall, finishing her egg and leaving the house, still in her casual clothing. She walked through the streets of Iwa, getting some looks along the way, they seemed mostly sympathetic must’ve been because of the funeral yesterday. Sebaru must’ve played on their heart strings a little too much yesterday. She caught herself thinking a little too negatively and stopped in her tracks, directly in the middle of the road. ’I guess I should go for a session with Hiruzen soon.’ She thought rubbing the back of her neck, she didn’t like sessions with that guy, but she couldn’t deny they helped. She continued on her way until making it to the Hanamoto mansion, noticing a Genin standing against the post, if Kariru recalled, she was on Xavi’s team. “Ruri, right? Would you mind telling the boy you’re undoubtedly hear to see to meet me at the fifth training field in the next hour. She asked, not waiting for a response, lifting her hand and waving it. “Thanks.” She beckoned to the girl, walking away. She continued on her way, looking for the Juunimaru clan HQ but not having much luck. That was, until she realized she had walked past it what must’ve been three times. She walked up to the door delivered a powerful knock and then bent down writing similar directions she had given Kanajiro in the sand outside the door, except this set of instructions indicated that Hayashi would have to spar Kanajiro immediately upon arriving at the training field. With that Kariru delivered one more deafening knock on the doors and left for the training field. Once she arrived, she simply sat down facing the entrance and waited.
