Kanajiro Hanamoto ---
Kanajiro grabbed the bottle of ointments and drippled them onto his wounds -- they were few, as Daisuke hadn't inflicted much damage that could be seen. Rather, his legs and arms hurt from the boys constant blocking of Kanajiro's attacks. Every time he blocked an attack, he blocked it so hard and so well that Kanajiro's muscles had slowly gotten so very sore. And there wasn't an ointment in the world that could fix soreness like this. So Kanajiro soldiered on. “A bite? Alright, sounds fair enough to me. Let's go to the ramen shop down the road.” he said in response to his cousin. In all honesty he could use some food as the training had exhausted him and he needed to regain some energy. He took off his clean, white training clothes and handed them to a servant, whom was waiting for Kanajiro and Daisuke to finish. “Give me a second, I need to change.” he said, running up a flight of stairs to head for his luxurious room. He opened the door and walked around the giant vase with flowers in them at the entrance of the room, headed for a mannequin. On it was the clothes he normally wore, laid out there by Rei most likely, his personal servant of sorts. Rei had taken over clan matters while Kanajiro was in the academy, and will continue to do so for the time being until Kanajiro was done with his Granite Guard training. While he dressed himself, he stood at the window and looked outside, into the big courtyard that was in front of the house. There were several Hanamoto children sparring and playing in the courtyard. But something else drew Kanajiro's attention. Ruri Zuodian standing outside the estates' gates. Kanajiro had known her for some time -- she was part of an influential family that Kanajiro sadly had to deal with from time to time. Their influence was something to be reckoned with, and her father wasn't the most empathetic of guys. But Ruri was alright, if you forgave her short sightedness into the class system in Iwagakure. It didn't really matter to Kanajiro however, he was probably amongst the higher classes amongst the village and therefore Ruri had no real grudge against him. But she didn't need a grudge to terrorise her classmates. Kanajiro zipped up his coat and attached the straps while walking down the stairs, holding up his hand towards Daisuke who'd still be waiting if he didn't leave yet. “Forgive me Daisuke, we will eat another time. Ruri is standing outside and I need to go see what she wants.” Likely she just wanted to call him names and then laugh about it -- not realizing she'd been the one waiting to call him names for an hour or so in the process. He quickly headed out the doors into the courtyard. On the left side of the courtyard, the wall had been temporarily broken down and was in the process of being linked to a new building site. Nobody but Kanajiro knew what it was exactly, but it looked to be quite a big building. He smiled as he looked at the building site before walking to the front gate. His tread went from a slow walk to a light tread when he got closer. He grabbed the handle of the big iron gate and twisted it and pulled it open. Kanajiro's eyes went up and down to inspect her. “Ruri. Good to see you. It's been some time since I saw you at the academy. Being home tutored must've done you well in your abilities. What do you need?” It was undeniable that Kanajiro's eyes hung at her cleavage a bit before looking her in the face, but he had enough self restrait to keep looking her in the eyes as they spoke. Though, when he looked over her shoulder down the road he thought he could make out Kariru, the Granite Guard, walking away. He wondered if she'd wanted something or was just passing by. “I don't feel like standing here and talking, so perhaps you can tell me what you want during a walk?” he said, smiling at her and tilting his head slightly. You could call him a friendly person, but Kanajiro was quite good at keeping up a façade. He knew why she was here, sort of. She was bored, had nothing to do at home and so decided to spend her time torturing Kanajiro. But he'd been through that a few times and he had noted it was easier to just smile and pretend friendly than to call her names back. So instead of waiting for her to call him names in front of the entire Hanamoto clan, he'd walk past her and grabbed her arm in the process, jerking it softly so she'd walk with him before releasing her arm. What would she have in store for him today, he wondered. And as they'd walk down the road he'd look at her and squint his eyes slightly, smile at her in a friendly manner and appear 'happy' for once rather than serious.
