//On Dracula//

Lord Dracula (original Bram Stoker's version) has been alive for as long as his castle that stood atop a hill in the Carpathian Mountains near the Borgo Pass, Transylvania. He was once known around the nearby town as the nobleman count, but ever since he lost his brides to the attack on his castle back 1965 he changed his title into 'Lord Dracula'. The attack was led by new followers of Van Helsing's old order of hunters, Dracula quickly dealt with it and erased almost any direct memory from the townspeople.

He is currently in his castle with the company of his adopted children, he used to have numerous vampire followers in his castle but they all left and scattered throughout Europe to seek adventure and try to get into the human life, get into careers and try out a normal life after years of boredom with merely preying on helpless victims and sucking their blood.

All in all Lord Dracula has five children, he has been very selective and never randomly chose to turn them into vampires and adopt them. He had had certain reasons, some extreme interest and adoration of the adopted human's personality and vision.

After the first World War Lord Dracula adopted his very first own child, Viktor von Gesner , a great and gentle Historian, and ever since he was one of the oldest and most trusted of his children. Recently Lord Dracula had been adopting quite a few more children, Renee Miller was one of them, he had brought her into his castle and made her family along with her own daughter, Jane. After the Millers by a few years, Lord Dracula adopted an aspiring architect, Maxwell Thiddlestone and the four were ever since quite close and loyal to each other.

The newest adopted child is Cornelia Harvey-Pavel, Lord Dracula had transfigured into his younger form and seduced her then turning her into his own kind, he had left her to recover from her turning fever and left her a message to come visit him and the other children at the castle.

So Basically Viktor is the first adopted child, he was taken in after the first world war.
Next up is the Millers, Renee and her daughter Jane, they were adopted somewhere in 2002.
Maxwell was turned and adopted in 2008.
Cornelia is the latest most recent one, 2014 (current RP timeline), and she will be the initial center of the plot.

The story will begin by the children (who are either at the castle or recently arrived from travels) gathering and awaiting the arrival of their newest Sibling. Dracula haven't been seen for at least the last 3 days, but they could sense he was down in the dungeons, probably working on something on his own.

Lookin' good, when can we expect to see the ic go active? Or are we free to jump in now?

I concur! I've been studying up a bunch of history/German culture to get Viktor into character. My excitement is almost unseemly! :)

Excited to begin! Been rereading Dracula to get into the mood of things. Can't wait!

So I have posted, we may now start, please note that my first IC is a FLASHBACK, so none of it takes in the present time yet. I personally favored a couple flashback posts before starting the present time.

Ghost Shadow you don't have to post a flashback if you don't want to, you can only reply to mine and then carry on to tell Viktor's story in the present time, whatever suits you and your creative needs.

As for the rest you are all free to post in Flashbacks or of the current time, or a little bit of both, all up to you.

But to make things clear, let me set up the present time:

Dracula haven't been seen since 3 days, he is probably in his dungeon. It is November 13 now, 2014.

Maxwell isn't in the castle, he has been away since 2011. He will be arriving later on tonight.

I most likely won't be able to get a post up until tomorrow, as I have an overnight camping trip tonight. But I'll try and keep an eye on things until I get back - which should be late morning to early afternoon tomorrow :)

Well, against all odds, I did manage to get a post up. The reason I put the text in italics is to signify that it is a flashback. I tried not to make it too long to divert away from the main part of the conversation, but I did want to give a bit of insight into Viktor's character/personality :)

Was busy entertaining family yesterday. I should be able to get a post up today.

I'm thinking on a intro post within the present day, but I kinda like the structure of the IC so far? It's like in a film, flashbacks opening for exposition and then suddenly pop towards the present day.

@Esme Personally I am planning to have at least two more posts before brining my character into present day, it is up to you if you want to reveal much now or just begin.

But since Cornelia is being adopted in the present time, a little of both is preferred, flashbacks and present day.

I'm sorry guys but some really horrible stuff came up. I might not be able to post till tomorrow, and I don't have time right now, and I honestly don't feel good about what happened. I will try for tonight, but most likely, I won't get the ball rolling till tomorrow.

Oh boy, longish post to come. I may have overwritten. Ironing out some kinks and possibly shortening it. Hopefully you all will like it ^.^ As a heads up, its'a two part flashback, one part present post. One flashback will follow Renee's life prior to transforming, whilst she was still in America, the other, her transformation and life in Transylvania, and a post relevant to the present. Hope that it doesn't seem to confusing.

Hope its okay. I shortened it quite a bit, so its not so overwhelming as before. It feels a bit rushed, but that should improve as my mood goes up and I get away from the events of this past weekend.

On the other hand, I assume Jane wouldn't be turned at her age. Therefore, she would age and be about 12 by 2014. If this isn't the case, I'll change the post. If it is, I'll look for a more appropriate picture for her.

EDIT: Edited and corrected a few things.

It looks great to me! :P I'm a huge fan of character development, so nothing excites me more than seeing how all our character's are going to interact with each other.

@Strawberry first of all I am sorry to hear what you are going through and I hope you can get through it well, hoping for the best, and of course our personal lives are the priority so I understand.That aside I am more than glad you were able to come up with such a great post.

I am not complimenting, I really liked that post, the multiple parts from various times and the depth of characterization is extremely interesting and grasped my full attention. The mood in your, and Ghost shadow's post is exactly the kind of mood I pictured when I created this RP, I am glad we are going at this pace,

speaking of pace, I like it this way, longer posts and not daily ones. This way the four of us can write up great posts and the kinda slow pace gives everyone the chance to read and enjoy and then have time to write, void of pressure.

And btw I don't mind long posts at all, don't limit your creative output, if you think it is great just write it down, I believe the four of us here are excited to read up. I don't want this RP to have a strong momentum that will be eventually lost like most RPs, so a slow but steady pace is good.

Now as for Jane, I think 12 is an optimum age for her character, and in our story I think we will have her turned around 17 or 16.

I should have a post up in a day or two, will be kinda lengthy but I promise good read ^^
