[Irene] You get to work, cutting out strips of cloth using the shirts you had acquired earlier. Then you apply a strong glue to the top of the handle and begin laying down the cloth in a methodical manner, alternating colors. The result is a spiraling pattern of blue and black. Picking up the katana, you admire the increased comfort. The only problem was a lack of a guard now--it would be bad if you accidentally cut yourself on your own weapon after all. But there's nothing you can do about that, really. Unless... You spy a paper plate and idea forms in your mind. You pick it up and start trimming it down with scissors. Afterwards, you poke a hole in the middle and widen it little by little. Checking the fit, you find that the hole just needs to be a teensy bit wider. Making the appropriate adjustments, you begin securing the flimsy circular cutout with duct tape. A vast quantity of duct tape. Once you're done, you now have a guard made of duct tape, using the paper plate as a template. You check the stability of it by roughly shoving upwards against it. The duct tape guard withstands the impact quite well and you smile. Now your makeshift katana is finally complete! You briefly imagine the Legend of Zelda music for opening chests at this accomplishment. But I should get a move on... Wanting to go up to the catwalk again, you gather your things and prepare to fight the zombies outside.
