Shay was awoken by the bouncing of some object on his head and the giggling of boys behind them. He rubbed his face to wake up, unsure of where he was. He looked around, seeing if he could identify anything in the nearby area. After a few moments of looking, he realized he was on the bus to Eden. He had been so excited this morning, he remembered, he barely slept last night. Long trips can do a number on even the most enthusiastic, he though. He pulled out his notebook. He figured he might as well write a little bit. He had at least thirty prompts in his notebook, but he had rarely gotten any of them past the first page. A shame, in his opinion, but he had no muse to continue them, so what could he do? He tried to get himself to write something, even a few sentences, just so he could do more than look at an empty page. Just then he had heard someone talk about being who they are or something like that. He looked back to see the boy standing from his seat and celebrating his small speech with other surrounding boys. He turned back to his notebook, writing down what he remembered from the statement. He was sure he could write something from that.
