Hiroto met Satsuma toward the end of his academy days. The man had stepped in to halt a fight that had broken out between Hiroto and a classmate. Seeing that Hiroto was in great need of a way to control his emotions, Satsuma took it upon himself to train the young student Taijutsu, and for better or worse, the two have been stuck with each other ever since.
