The premise of this RP would be simple- a group of people are put in a specific area and told that they must fight one another until there is only 1 person left. However, there is a lot of details to iron out here, and if you're interested in something like this, I invite you to help me with them.
First of all, the selection of people. Is it children, students, adults, etc. Are they all from different places? Around the world? Maybe more localized? Next, the location. Are they on an island? In a sectionalized area like a city? Is it all natural or are there things added for this competition? Lastly, weapons. Are there supply boxes given to each member upon arrival? Do they need to find supply boxes? Maybe there won't be any added weapons at all- competitors will need to craft them on their own.
Now I've never actually seen Hunger Games. I've only seen Battle Royale (and only the first one). I've heard the Hunger Games are similar... but I don't know a lot of the details. If you have seen the Hunger Games and there are some real cool ideas from it that you think might work well, let me know. Actually, if you have ANY cool ideas, let's hear em.
Anyways, one thing I'd like to see is a system that forces the players to move (to avoid them bunkering down, setting defenses, and simply waiting-- it will be boring for everyone playing not only make it ridiculously easy for that one player). In Battle Royale, everyone had a collar that could explode, and would do so if little Johnny was in Area T at 15:00 hours. Each area was announced so that players knew what areas where dangerous at what times. I like this concept but we don't have to use it exactly.
Another thing I thought would make the game interesting would be a radar- Maybe one player is given a radar (or it is placed within the area for someone to find) which can point to where other players are. This helps speed along the factor of finding each other in an open landscape.
Anyways, these are my thoughts for now! Hopefully this idea is specific enough to garner attention, and vague enough that we can build it together.
