Nathan ran up the steps to the school as fast as he could luggage in hand. He staggered and lost control a few times with his luggage on the white concrete stairs that went up to the school and was out of breath by the time he reached the top, but managed to score a early place in the lineup for the room signups, but not the front. He then got his first glimpse of the school while waiting outside of the office while the other people got their numbers. It was quite fancy and probably set up to give a first timer a sense of luxury. He did notice an arcade over the far east, which looked good, but he could probably try that out later. He had a line to wait in and he wasn't going to give up his spot. Meanwhile, he glanced towards the TV screen, which played the same recording as in the bus, probably because there was nothing else to say. The key machine was almost like an ATM with a touchscreen. He watched a student put in his number '320' on the screen and watched the machine spit out the keys for his room as well as a sticker with his name on it. The line moved forward a bit faster than expected and Nathan suspected he could probably get his keys soon. He also noticed an elevator and flight of stairs. Obviously the elevator was faster, so he'd take that as soon as he got his number. Meanwhile Kathy Willheart was finished checking the last arcade machine, a DDR set and sneakily headed back into the assembly room, where she would greet the students in just 20 minutes. The final preparations were being done as a few faculty members were setting up some last equipment, such as cameras to take pictures of the students on their first day of school for the yearbook.
