I didn't really intend to discuss the purpose of kunai knives. The point is, in Naruto, they throw kunai in a unique pattern; regardless of whether or not that is the proper way to use a kunai, THAT'S how Zerox and Ghost were throwing them. And I really disagree - I would assume a straight, head on impact with an ice-pick-shaped knife would pierce much farther than the same knife thrown the spinny way.
