Work in progress: Name: Alekos Diakopi Occupation: Ethologist - He studies animal behavior. Nationality: Greek Gender: Male Age: 28 Alma Mater: University of Crete. Personality: Alekos is a generally hard-working and calm kind of person. He is dedicated to his work, but not to the point of obsession. He is naturally curious and is usually the first to arrive at the scene of something interesting, or unexplained, or generally unusual. Despite being dedicated to his work and curious, he still enjoys a good prank or joke, as long as it isn't anything too extreme. Of course, he is intelligent and normally uses complicated words in a sentence, only to have to repeat the sentence again in simpler language to confused people. Brief Bio: Alekos was born on the ancient Greek island of Crete, in the coastal city. He was born into a rather laid back family - his father was a competitive boxer, and his mother was unemployed. Because of this, he was never pushed to do well academically, and even though his older brother had dropped out of school and gone from job to job, his parents told him that whatever he did was okay, as long as he had a job. Despite this, he still felt that he needed to push himself academically, and therefore applied himself at school more than the rest of his family. Alekos was never bullied at school. He wasn't exceedingly popular, but he still had a large group of close friends. He was well liked by the teachers, and received good grades all the way through school. He excelled in maths, history and geography, but he was always a scientistat heart. He loved going out birdwatching after school and catching insects and putting them in vivariums. When the time came to choose a university to go to, he knew he wanted to study ethology, also known as the study of animal behaviour. But the main decision was to go off island or stay in Crete. Alekos, after a final decision, chose the University of Crete, the best University on his home island. Alekos breezed through university, just like school, and graduated easily. After university, he was hired by the local museum as a researcher. This was where he worked for 5 years, before something happened. A kaiju attacked an island near Crete. It was like a giant hound. The attack killed several, and injured many more. A group of researchers from Alekos's museum were chosen to study the scene. Of course, Alekos was among these. The scene was awful. The kaiju had cut a large path straight through a tourist area. People said the creature had eaten people, then simply trudged on and disappeared into the hole from which it came. Alekos, since these creatures had begun attacking, had always thought that something must be driving them. What could it be? Alekos verablly voiced his theories out loud, and a group of White Glove researchers came up to him. They said they liked his theories, and offered him a job with them. It was a tough decision, but Alekos accepted. Other: No brown M&Ms. Also, he speaks fluent English and fluent French as well, and of course, fluent Greek. He speaks these all with a heavy accent.
