Unable to find Andrew inside the bar, Kalib started to feel a twinge of antsiness. Thinking he should start asking around, he saw Kat chatting up a girl across the bar and decided to start asking there. Walking over he thought, "A werewolf named Kat, what irony." He sidled up to the counter. "Hey, have either of you seen Andrew? Tall guy, black hair, wearing flannel, looked like he was brooding hella hard." Kalib inquired.

Mira was waiting on an answer from Kat, eyes looking at the girl questioningly behind her sunglasses when a man walked up. He was relatively tall with brown hair and Mira smiled just slightly, shaking her head. "Nope. Don't know anyone here. And haven't noticed an Andrew," she said, finishing off her drink and scratching the side of her head. She sighed, setting the glass down and looking a bit bored. Her shoulders hunched slightly when she turned away from Kat to look around the bar, causing her shirt to fall further down her arm though she didn't seem to notice.

"Where could that guy be?" He groaned, running his hands through his hair. "How in the world do you lose an adult werewolf at a bar?" He thought before turning back to the girls and saying "Well, thanks anyway. If you see him, let me know." Again he went to make his rounds and ask someone else. It would be really bad if there were one than one hunter on their trail while they had one less omega, he thought.

Figuring that the alpha would know where the hell everyone else was, he went to Carlson. "Hey boss, have you seen Andrew? I swear he was here, like, ten minutes ago and now he's up and vanished."

"He went to.... handle.... something. Against my order,s of course. But one cannot control who doesn't want to be controlled." Carlson explained, sighing a bit. Kalib seemed to be the only Omega that actually liked him, and for that he was grateful... if not feeling like a father having to control a rambunctious child, which Kalib could be sometimes.

"Oh," He made a face. "If it's ok with you, I think I'll go get him if he isn't too far off by now. Don't want any trouble tonight, amiright?" he said, trying to lighten the mood. "I'll be back before anything happens." With that, he sauntered off in a purposely comical way. Already knowing Andrew wasn't in the bar or in the bathroom, Kalib made way to the front entrance first.

As he opened the door, it almost immediately snagged on something. Thinking it was just some debris someone tossed on the sidewalk, Kalib heaved open the door and took a step out. The scent of California came with familiarity, which he liked and had missed for a long time. "Whelp, back to business." He commented to himself as he glanced around and then saw Andrew on the ground, unconscious. "What?!" Kalib went over to Andrew's side and waved his hand in front of his face. "Dude, wake up. Tonight's not a good night for a nap."

Footsteps pounded on the ground. The little girl's breath was coming hard and fast but she didn't stop. Couldn't stop.
If she stopped, they would catch her. The monsters.
Her pack had just lost several members to disease. They were in mourning and not alert enough to deal with what had come. The monsters had appeared out of nowhere. It had been a slaughter for both sides. Her father had told her mother to run, to get away with their daughter.
Her mother... her beautiful gentle mother...
She had taken precious time to hide Gia in some bushes. She made her promise not to come out no matter what. The monsters had...

Gia whimpered aloud at the memory of her mother being killed before her eyes. And the monsters... the humans... they hadn't found her. She had run while they were gloating over her mother's body, run as far and as fast as she could.
That had been three days ago. And she was still running.

Of course she had stopped and rested but as little as possible. She had found water but not food. She was too young, only 10 summers. She couldn't hunt for herself and she had no money. Besides, she didn't want to be among the monsters. She knew her kind pretended to be humans to move about in their society but she didn't want to be anywhere near them. They were all monsters. Every one of them.

Her stomach growled fiercely. She needed to have food soon. If she didn't, she was afraid of what would happen. The night before her hunger had nearly led her to danger.
She had been so hungry that she had approached some kind of convenience store, smelling the heated food within. Her mouth watering, she had been nearly inside when a stranger had called out to her. A man. He had spoken to her kindly, wanting to know why she was alone. She had lied and said her father was in a car nearby, but she could tell the man didn't believe her. He had taken her arm and tried to take her with him, the look in his eyes terrifying her. It had been the look of a predator.
She had gotten away by biting him and running. Even though she was only a child she had still outrun him and disappeared into the night.

Gia tripped over something and fell hard, skinning her knee badly. As blood welled from the wound she held her knee and started to cry. She wanted her mother and her strong protective father. She wanted them to appear and hold her close and tell her everything was okay. She wanted to feel safe again.
The sense of hopelessness was overwhelming, making her heart hurt. The child cried harder, just wanting it to end.

Something tickled her senses... a smell...
An Alpha!
Gia jerked her head up, certain she was imagining things. She breathed in the air, examining it carefully.
There! It was there! The smell of an Alpha! Another clan! Nearby!
With a cry of relief she surged to her feet and took off running again. She ignored the pain in her knee and the gnawing hunger in her stomach. She just kept running towards the beacon of hope.

The smell led her to a human bar. There were already two males outside, but neither was the Alpha. Gia knew she should approach with caution and be alert, but she was too tired, too scared and too hungry to think clearly.
Instead she ran up to the male that was standing and threw herself on the ground at his feet in a submissive action. "Please!" she cried. "Help me! I beg! Please!"

She was sure she looked a sight, dirty and grubby, her hair messy and tangled, blood on her clothes and scratches on her arms and legs.
The child whimpered like a new born pup, shaking with fear, desperation and hunger.

"Oh my god." Kalib thought as the kid jumped out at him. He was so busy trying to wake Andrew that he hadn't noticed her. Quickly he gathered his thoughts and tried not to sound so startled. "Hey, what's wrong? Are you hurt?" Her scent caught in his nose and he stooped down to her level. "Are you ok? What happened to you?" Racking at his memory, he couldn't recall ever seeing a child werewolf before, even more so one that was panicking and terrified. But he did all he could not to sound threatening or scary to her.

Gia took hold of his shirt in her hands, like she was afraid he would pull away and disappear.
"The monsters!" she sobbed. "They k-killed everyone! My parents!" she cried but it was more with relief then fear now. After three days of running and being in constant fear the relief at finding those of her kind made her break down.
"I r-ran," she tried to explain but had the feeling that it wasn't coming out that well. "They killed everyone! My mother... they slaughtered her... mother..." she whimpered as the memories came rushing back as though they had just happened moments and not days ago.

Her stomach growled loudly. "Running...running... d-days... hungry... scared... smell... Alpha..." she rambled, probably not making any sense at all now. She could only hold on a hope that he didn't think she was crazy or kill her because she was from another clan. Of course the clan didn't exist anymore. She was the sole survivor.

His eyes grew wide with what he heard and nodded his head. "I understand, you can come with me to see our alpha. Just one moment." With both hands he grabbed onto Andrew's flannel and heaved him onto his shoulders all army style. . . Or well, it would have been army style but he buckled a little from having a grown man on is shoulders. Instead, Kalib put Andrew down and lifted him to "walk" crutch-style like one would do with a drunk person. One arm around Andrew, Kalib offered his hand to the girl. "Don't worry, Carlson's really nice. He's not scary." He tried to put on a calm face so that she might not be so scared, hoping that he was helping.

Garret held his position, the cold breeze hardly registering through his clothing. The roof had been the right choice in terms of places to observe the wolves, he did not appear to have been noticed, and from the vantage point he had observed the comings of the pack that night. It seemed to be the normal number of wolves for this pack and a couple humans, that he would have to keep an eye out for as the night got underway, but in all honesty it was nothing really new for a pre-full moon, so he allowed himself to relax slightly, but not enough to compromise himself as he watched. As he waited a wolf came out of the tavern, and seemed to smell the night air, this caused Garret to once more tense and slowly move his left hand towards his bow, but then something odd happened. The wolf collapsed. Garret stopped as he watched, this was odd, and would be an easy kill. Too easy. He waited for the inevitable, surly the wolf would move, get tired of it's simple trick, or its comrade would, so he would wait. Sure enough not that long later another wolf exited the bar, but oddly enough seemed surprised by the status of the other one. Garret squinted "What game are they playing at?" he wondered to himself as he watched.

He kept his hand near his bow but did not move, his eyes fixed on the two. But for all his attention he was taken by surprise by the small child that quickly entered into the picture. She seemed lost, and ran up to the still continuous wolf with little problem, as if she knew something about the tavern, or the wolf. Garret set his jaw, this was going to be an interesting night indeed.

Carrying in the KO'd Andrew on his back and the girl following at his side, Kalib hustled to put Andrew down in a chair. "Geez, you weight like a horse." He complained, exaggerating to see if it brought up anyone's spirits and tried to play it off cool. After putting Andrew down in the chair, he once again attempted to see if he would wake up. An attempt or two later and he gave up. "Well, that's one thing to check off the list." He thought, turning back to Gia and speaking so only she could hear "Don't worry, ok? You're going to be save here. See that guy over there with the yellow braid? He's our alpha and he's going to help you, ok?" If there was one thing Kalib wasn't experienced with, it was little kids. He hoped he was doing right by her.

Upon slamming his bottom into the hard surface of the cheap wooden chair he now sat in, Andrew was jostled awake from his unconscious slumber, resulting in a terrible headache and nausea due to his apparent concussion. "Ugh," he whined, and twisted in his seat, gripping his head. Once he'd managed to open his eyes and survey his surroundings he realized he was, once again, within the confines of Sam's Tavern, back where he had started his relatively fruitless night. "Shit," was all Andrew could manage to say at the moment, writhing in pain as he attempted to stand up. As he took a few aimless steps, he came into range of a few fellow werewolves, one of whom included the familiar Kalib, who he guessed had helped him back into the bar, judging by his distance to the chair.

"Kalib," he muttered, attempting to grab the man's attention.

Inwardly wincing at the curse word Andrew said in front of the kid, he turned back to said man. "Oh good, you're awake. What happened to you, man?" Kalib quietly tried to keep an eye on the girl from out from the corner of his eye whilst he talked. "You okay there? Maybe you should shit down some more."

As Andrew attempted to balance himself in order to communicate with his savior in the most respectable manner he could conjure up at a time like these, he continued with his withering and twisting, often gripping his head every few seconds. "T-There's someone o-out there, kid," he said, and pointed at the closed shutters at the front of the room. "I sense it, you k-know? We have t-to get wh-whatever's out t-t-there before it gets to us, alright?" He feigned a smile, or at least the best one he could manage, and grabbed the young man's shoulders in order to avoid having to endure another nasty fall.

"Sorry a-about this..."

"No problem." He interjected. "I get what you mean about the guy, I think, but you need to sit down for a moment first. You might be concuss or something, and it's not going to be good if they decided to barge in and tamp around while you've got concussion." Kalib wondered if his reasoning made sense but either way, it made sense to him. "Look, we can go after the guy after we check you head and boss give us a "go", that sound good?"

Gia was scared. The one male seemed like he was sick and was talking about someone being 'out there'.
The little girl gasped. "The monsters!" she cried, fearing that the ones that had killed her pack had followed her. She scrambled under a table and curled into a ball, pulling her knees up under her chin. The monsters were coming for her! They were coming to kill her just like they had killed everyone she loved.
Mommy... Daddy...
Gia placed her face against her knees and rocked back and forth whimpering like a newborn pup.

Carlson noticed the small child enter with Kalib, and watched in bewilderment as she hid under the table. Confused, he walked over and kneeled down, looking at her "Hey there, little lady. What's got ya all riled up?" He asked, with a gentle tone in his voice.

Stíofán saw people coming in, including someone who was unconscious, and a - a child? All the children should be in the flats, he thought. Stíofán walked over there, curious, in order to see what had happened. He was slightly drunk, but it didn't show at all, and he still had a glass of Irish whiskey in his hand. "What's happened?" he asked

As she watched him leave the bar to go see what was up with that kid, Nanix let out a whine. She was never going to get a chance to ask him out, was she?

He spoke to Stiofan from over his shoulder, a little more concerned about Andrew's head. "Went outside to look for this guy and found him on the floor. Then, uh, she came out of nowhere and said that. . ." Kalib dropped his voice a bit so the little girl wouldn't hear him, turning half a step to Stiofan. "She said that the monsters were after her and that she's been going for days. Poor kid. . ." A sigh escaped him, feeling bad and sorry for the kid but not sure what to do for her. "At least Carlson's got her."
