His words made her raise her eyebrows in pleasant surprise and her lips settled into a smile. "Intrigued? I'm quite flattered that you are, though I am nothing special," said Juliette. While her appearance gave one the impression of innocence, she spoke with a refined grace, almost a bit too formal for a teenager. "I guess they liked my academic results. I do like learning...new things," she added with a twinkle in her eyes, her smile growing ever so slightly, almost mischievously.

Juliette leaned forward in her seat, resting her chin on the palm of her hand, appearing interested in his words. "Being placed third in ranking is no small feat. You must be quite talented, Kojima-san," she stated, eyes sweeping over him before settling on his own with renewed interest. He was athletic, and looked slightly older than her. So far, she had only tried her magic on those equal to her age and not of much strength. She was quite curious to find out if such things would affect her spells.

She couldn't exactly prod it for an answer without speaking out loud, but that could possibly deter her new companion from her. And she couldn't risk that..not when the prospect of new experiments were so high.
