Jay as she's called has served on the Dawnsky for at least a century and therefore is an expert on her history. She has her own cabin which when entered seems to be twice as large as it should be inside though she acts as if this shouldn't be considered uncommon and won't answer questions as to how or why her's is the only room that is so.
She has served under six Captains of the Dawnsky and few love the ship as much as she outside of the Engineer and Captain.
She rarely leaves the ship but when she dose no one sees her do so only encountering her in the shops of the sky port where she always seems to know all the older shop owners as friends and enemies.
The strangest fact of note is that she is injured when the Dawnsky suffers damage in battle indicating that the ship's life force and her own are either tied together or one and the same the latter being unheard of.[/Hider]

Franklin was once a member of the now disbanded Green Lion war group a mercenary company that unfortunately was on the losing side of a nasty civil war.
While most merc groups might have simply forced to pay restitution his was punished as if they were once servants of the offended Lord and either executed or sold into indentured service.
Franklin was purchased by Jay at one of the Dawnsky's ports and works as her guard an Gofer when she require it but most of the time he's simply crew.[/Hider]

David signed on to the Dawnsky as a Cabinboy under the captain before the present one and as such thinks of himself as a true plank owner. He's a big brother figure to many of the younger crew and know in many a port as a lover and a gambler.[/Hider]
