OOC



So, after seeing the Episode VII trailer and watching it about twenty more times, I really got the urge to make a Star Wars RP set in the era of the Empire, particularly the stretch between Episode III and IV when Darth Vader was roaming around enforcing the Emperor's will, Obi Wan was in hiding, Luke was still a kid and Boba Fett was making a name for himself. My idea was to have this RP follow a small group of bounty hunters (ideally 5 - 7 people).

I don't have much set in the way of stories and plot points at the moment, but the RP will be set 3 - 6 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin). The big idea was that the group would be dragged in together by the Empire, after the Imperials offer large sums of credits. They have been known to use bounty hunters, this time being no different. The Empire picks this group to run several missions, which as I can say right now would lead to a bigger conflict which I am brainstorming.

This sound like fun to anyone?

I'll throw up a basic CS, if you have an idea for a character feel free to fill it out, but I have some guidelines I want to bring up right beforehand:
- No Jedi/Sith, your character can be force sensitive, they just don't know it. The Jedi are nearly extinct at this point in the timeline, a blaster is your friend, or something like a vibrosword if that is your style.
- Original characters only. I love Boba Fett, he's a badass but I love original, creatively made characters too.

That's about it, if you need to really dig deep with Star Wars then I'd recommend using the Star Wars Wikia, Wookiepedia. Just beware that it is very easy to get lost reading it and unknowingly spend hours on the site.



Post or PM any questions, concerns or ideas. I am also looking for a Co - GM to aid me with running this. Ideally someone well versed in Star Wars.

I'm definitely interested. The period in between the two trilogies is rife with potential, and a Spaghetti Western, Dirty Dozen sort of vibe is even better. I had a similar idea myself once upon a time, where Imperial Intelligence hired a bunch of bounty hunters and prisoners to do some high-risk dirty work that may have eventually led to interaction with the Rebel Alliance.

If we end up needing a token human, I even have a character ready with a pilot/smuggler background. Bit of a Han/Lando combo, I'll admit.

Well, this saves me some work.

I was wanting to do something outlaw style with a couple of friends. Was gonna invite you anyway heat but this saves me effort with my other two Gming projects.

I lay no claim to any role as of yet, Sep. ;) In point of fact, I'm fairly sketchy with piloting lingo, so if you have any better a grasp on it than I do, feel free!

After seeing that Episode 7 trailer I'm pretty much down for all things Star Wars. Definitely interested in this, sounds like a lot of fun.

I was thinking of playing as a dirty rotten scoundrel that gets captured by the Empire and is offered his freedom in exchange for completing whatever dangerous mission the GM cooks up.

I'll probably go with a Kel Dor 'Man with no Name' ripoff haha

You can be my co-pilot, in terms of SW piloting first I'm on the ball with it all. Thanks to novels...

The stories aren't movie canon anymore and are legends yes, but the tech is still canon as they're used in the nucanon books.

I'm dragging Enalais along. For my char would a smuggler being used to fly all the bounty hunters around work? Or should I double him up as some kind of mercenary?

I shall make a female bounty hunter i guess.

Well the Empire doesn't like smugglers, I'm certain they'd arrest any they could find. So double up as merc.

I figured that the characters involved would all be bounty hunters, mercs and some criminals who are promised freedom from capture by the Imperials in exchange for working for them.

Damn, dunno then. I want to focus my char on piloting as much as possible to give him some sweet ass skills. What if he was in the aforementioned category? Promised freedom as long as he worked for them? Also gives the Bounty Hunters someone to keep an eye on in their midst so he doesn't just make a break for it :P
