I didnt yokai because you all would want them to look human probably. And the human ones are the most powerful which was why there are half demons who have a major weakness.

I dont mind if a kunoichi is a demon slayer, just means she isnt serving a lord.

You just cant mix Priestess with the fighter class. Kind of like mixing demon and a priestess.. which are opposites.

And your characters do not have to be combat orientated. They can be simple bards or merchants. 

As for characters, I dont even mind if your character comes from modern time and gets lost here.
