I'd be fine with a reboot, like you said, this could simply be practice or whatever, and I think it would be better if you did explain the surroundings more clearly and what exact predicament we are in. Without revealing too much of course...

But I guess that's fine for me since I play as an experiment who wouldn't know very much about what's going on, but as for the scientists, I would be quite confused in their place. Sadly, I think that may be why some of the scientists left :(
