This history is subject to several inaccuracy, since the Clan that is now currently in its 19th literation has, as seems to be tradition among the rat folk, burnt or destroyed most historical records of the 18th and so on clan. Hence most of this is recorded by outside scholars 

[B]1th Clan[/B]
[B]??? Years ago[/B] - The first massive rat-beastkin migration begins, where several until then disorganized packs of rabid tribes unite under one supreme tribe. This would be the point of the 1th tribe. The first tribe open up several early wars towards other species and seemingly claims a large territory, according to the Clan's own mythos. However few archaeological proofs exist to back up this clam. This first Clan seems to have disintegrated because of internal strife, witch would be a tradition for the later Clans. Their legacy however remain in the Rat-folks religion.

[B]2th Clan ''Wisdom Seekers''[/B]
[B]2000 to 1500 years ago[/B] - This clan also is shrouded in much mystery, however it seemed to be a a clan of shamans and wizards. During this time the Rat-folks reputation had not yet been stained, so several of these seers served with the other races as advisors, again according to some scholars, becoming very successful in both diplomacy and trade. It seems that most of the 1th Clan's empires territory was returned through several documented peace treaty's, witch again led to a surplus of goodwill towards this clan. The 2th clan would however fall because of civil war. This war witch name has long since been forgotten led to a new clan taking the spotlight.

[B]3th Clan ''The Black Surge''[/B]
[B]1000 years ago to 700 years ago[/B] - The last of the major famous clans, ''The Black Surge'' would single-handedly destroy any goodwill the ratskin had built up during their long years under the second clan. Broken peace-treaties, large raids that burnt down several ancient land marks, no regard for civilians life during pillages and a ferice racial perjure against all other races has led this Clan to be remember unfoundly by almost all races on Somnus. This clan would later be destroyed by outside forces, as all races more or less turned on it and quashed it. 

[B]4th to 18th Clan[/B]
[B]700 to current date[/B] - Research from now in the clans history becomes near impossible, since after book and record of this clans have been wiped out by the next ruler of the united Clans. But if there is one trace and common line one could draw between this clans is that they, just as the 3th Clan, spoiled their own diplomatic relations with the other kingdoms, through assassinations, raids and backstabbing. The clans territories as a result, shrunk to only encompass the swamp lands that they now call home. This had also led to the decrease of diversity in the ratkin colours of fur, going to a greener and sicklier look then they had before.
