Yeah I have.
I had to deal with the same thing fandom wise, though I have managed to get others into anime and such over time. It helped that SAO and AoT became big, because it really allowed me to grow the group I could talk to. Mind you though it still isn't a large group but it is significantly larger than what I started with.
I hope you can find more people to talk with though, I understand how boring it can be in place like that.
