He's definitely a nice addition to our "frontliner" type, which I think we have a handful of compared to the supportive characters. He's got a brash and aggressive attitude, and it looks as if being open to the world isn't his thing. Once you get to know him, he kinda opens up to you. I think I need to see more of him to make a sound judgement of his character. Overall though, there's a nice guy hidden under that mask of semi-hostility, you just gotta get to know him and be his friend. :sun
