Prelude:

Being captain of the basketball team didn't always have its perks, this is an example:

Kimura Teshira, senior student of Yamamura Academy sat outside the school gates. Along side him, other booths, passing out flyers and sign up sheets, manipulating the new students into joining their clubs. Kimura was also passing out tryout flyers to everyone that entered through the colossal steel gates. He didn't understand why the school wouldn't allow the booths to be in the school yard instead of outside its walls. Anyhow, Kimura's face was as crunched up as a toasted toaster strudel. He was most obviously enraged that, one: he was left in charge of getting at least five people to sign-up for the basketball club, his coach nowhere in sight, and two: the fact that NO ONE WAS SIGNING UP!!!!

From nine-hundred plus students entering this.....this 'Cathedral', not a single one has signed his college rule bring piece of paper labeled 'Basketball Club Sign-Up'. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the 'science' or 'mathematics' clubs, which didn't really make any sense. "Didn't even know those clubs existed. Who in the world adds and subtracts for fu......." Kimura paused, due to a sudden approach.

A six foot student now stood right before Kimura. The captain couldn't believe the stature of this being. He looked like a statue. The captain thought to himself:

"It's about damn time....." but he spoke too fast.

"Where can I find the gee club? I mean, I looked everywhere! Can you help?" the statue spoke

Kimura's right eyelid began to twitch uncontrollably. His right nostril soon followed the quick jerking motion. Kimura stood as his eyes locked on to his blank piece of paper. He forced himself to point in the direction of the gee club as all his muscles tensed severely.

Once the statue was out of his sight, Kimura growled thuderously like a wolf piercing through its prey. With a sudden flutter, the captain sat back down on his blue chair and huffed loudly. He nearly blew all the papers off the table. Once his rage came to a conclusion, he returned to wait for a hopeful bunch of basketball players.

---------------------------------------------------

So basically, this rp will be based off the school's basketball club. I'm looking for at least 5-10 people to join. There will be first, second, and third year students.

I'm gonna need a coach. (Doesn't have to be male)

In addition to basketball, the students will also have to deal with the classroom. I think that can be NPC unless decided otherwise.

I don't just want male characters. Meaning, even though the basketball club will all be male characters, there can be outside characters that are females. Girlfriends, friends, teachers, etc.

I'll figure out how to determine how the basketball games will play out. We may not always play NPC's, I may just have everyone create characters for other schools, Idk.

So if you're interested, please post below.

If you want to add something or make any changes just post along with your interest. I don't know if this will work out, but I think its worth a try.

I'll make a character sheet once I get enough people.

Characters:

Third Year (Present)

Name: Kimura Teshira

Age: Seventeen

Sex: Male

Height: 172.72 cm (5'8)

Weight: 63.50 kg (140 lb)

Specialty: Leadership. Speed. Steals (Pickpocket) and last but not least, his special move, the Turnaround.

Personality: Kimura is a responsible and strong willed captain on and off the court. He respects his teammates along with keeping them in line. When times get tough on the court, Kimura has the ability to lift the spirit of his teammates. He gets frustrated easily if the team is losing, but is capable of concealing that anger in order not to demotivate his team. Without any hesitation, Kimura would put his body on the line in order to achieve victory. Basketball has become his life.

Bio: Kimura was born to a regular set of parents. He lived a normal averaged life in a house near the border of Tokyo, but when his mother passed away, his father made him move in with his aunt and uncle. He now lives in Kyoto, attending Yamamura Academy. He first got into basketball after watching his father, Shiro, playing basketball at the college level. Shiro would train Kimura, trying to pass down his skills. After a tragic motorcycle accident, Shiro lost one of his legs and became paralyzed from his waist down. He was wheel-chaired from that day on. Kimura was about seven at that time. In order to make his father proud, he started training, day by day getting stronger and faster. But then, after he was sent off to his aunts, age of fifteen, Kimura realized that he no longer played ball for his father's sake, but for his own. This was the only thing that brought a smile to his face during this time period. When he first enrolled at Yamamura Academy, he hated it. Unlike at other schools, Yamamura Academy was not able to fund a Basketball Club. It focused primarily on academics rather than sports. In order to make the impossible possible, Kimura, alone, petitioned against the district chairmen and won. They cancelled clubs that would ever hardly get enrolled in and used that extra money to fund the new Basketball Club. After building a team, the Yamamura Basketball Club played one scrimmage game and was completely annihilated. The players themselves were the coaches, setting rules and training schedules. It was awful. On the second year, Kimura had to recruit a completely new team, the old one quit. Kimura's second year on the basketball team was also as bad as the first one. Unlike the first one though, they played every game of the season. They didn't get a coach until half way into the season though. Only game they won was against Futaba High School, a newly formed academy during that time. And now, Kimura is a third year student, still, he has not given up on his dream of winning and making it all the way. He can't give up, because if he does, his entire life would collapse into ruin. Without basketball, there is no Kimura.

Name: Masaru Susumu
Age: Sixteen (SecondYear)
Sex: Male
Height: 177.6cm (approx. 5'10)
Weight: 155lb (70kg or so)
Specialty: 'Mimic'. In basketball games he can often observe and replicate players' styles as a defensive technique, focusing on the opponent's best offensive player. With his natural physical strength he can often return moves done by the opponent's ace player with more strength and speed. This is done with a very interesting attention to detail and natural maneuvering ability. However this ability is quite useless against players stronger and faster than himself,
Personality: Masaru is very passionate about basketball, and always plays basketball games with a smile. Despite this, he is quite a sore loser and suddenly turn serious and irritable after any loss, but especially in basketball. Masaru is quite joking and doesn't care much about academics, as he is very overconfident and believes he can make the major leagues when his actual chances aren't in his favour. He easily makes friends and loves to train, doing it for recreational purposes as well as strength building.
Bio: Masaru never had anything particuarly special early in his life, born to a family with a bit more money than most. Masaru began to play soccer at an early age, but never really got into it. After only a few weeks, he started watching NBA games and at age 6, asked his parents if he could try basketball. Masaru grew in skill, and with natural perceptive skill earned his specialty. He became aware of his specialty and trained it, always showing his specialty with a bit of theatric addition. After middle school he went to a highschool known to have one of the best highschool teams in Japan, but the team were 'no fun' as Masaru called it and spent the next year at a new high school with a basketball record not exactly as impressive as his last school's.
Personality: Michiko is a bit of a nerdy girl but avoids the nerd clique, often staying alone. She likes watching basketball but has no skill playing. Michiko buries herself in her studies annoyed by the fact she can't seem to get the attention of that cute boy, or be able to make friends with the popular clique, or do anything that doesn't just seem nerdy. Michiko is shy and closed off, not wanting to be led on and tricked.
Bio: Michiko grew up with an alcoholic father for a year before Michiko's mother kicked him out and filed a restraining order against him. With Michiko often alone in the house while her mother would be working, Michiko learned to organize a home, and would often help her mother with the laundry. Michiko's mother drilled inti Michiko from a young age that intelligence was the key to success in life, so Michiko studied hard, which was fine until high school when she started to get bullied. Often a cute guy would ask her out and just organize some joke to humiliate Michiko, so eventually Michiko simply closed herself off, not wanting to be fooled again.
