I'm back. Apologies for having been gone so long. My school didn't really inform us about exams until the last minute, so I ended up cramming and forgetting that I had posted this. Now that those are done (and that I've been informed by Pepperm1nts that people are interested), I'll be able to remain far more active.

In regards to the suggestions so far-I definitely agree that, at minimum, there should be a sort of galactic 'congress', if you will-a time every so often during while major nations (and perhaps corporate entities, if they are influential enough) meet to discuss political, economic, and social issues, and similar sorts of things.

I'm also currently looking into ways I can nudge everyone towards interacting with others, outside of making some big bad villain. I'm trying to find natural events that could cause problems.
