Indigo

"Do not think the youth has no force because he cannot speak to you and me. Hark! in the next room, who spoke so clear and emphatic? Good Heaven! it is he! it is that very lump of bashfulness and phlegm which for weeks has done nothing but eat when you were by, that now rolls out these words like bell-strokes. It seems he knows how to speak to his contemporaries. Bashful or bold, then, he will know how to make us seniors very unnecessary." —Ralph Waldo Emerson, Self-Reliance.
Sophia gave the breath of life to the chosen. Cloaked in indigo, these children were coronated with gladioli, irises, and Stars of Bethlehem, and in the temple of the West, they rose. As the earth met the stars, Sophia beckoned the chosen to their destiny, and Yaldaboath sent forth armies on the material plane. Today is December 17th, 2014, the first day of Saturnalia and the first day of the last week of Advent. The prophecy has come to fruition, and the chosen ones disposed to gnosis by Monad shall emerge with visions. They will break the chains of the world built by sin with power from the highest heavens. They will destroy the evil in their wake, even if they destroy themselves. Shall man and chosen and evil and light converge in the final battle to end all ages. A quiet suburb will be shaken by God. The chosen will awaken.
Note
So, in this roleplay, you may control a character of your design, whether they are the chosen, the intuitive and creative ones destined for greatness; the great beasts and gladiators, the warriors brought to fight for Yaldaboath; or the unrisen, the innocent, unaware, blind civilians caught in middle of the fray.
Below are all of the roles. The Messengers are only listed here to clarify the basic plot; they are not playable.
Roles
The Chosen: The Chosen are high school students from the town of Union Hill, Texas, northeast of Fort Worth. Aged 14 to 18, the Chosen exhibit traits of the so-called 'indigo children'—they are independent thinkers with creative and intuitive prowess, each bringing unique assets to the table. When the Reckoning begins, they will receive visions from Sophia. The Chosen, too, must make the Choice: either to accept their transcendent destiny and achieve gnosis or to receive the mark of Yaldaboath and join the ranks of the Tyrants. After the Choice is made, the Chosen are gifted with abilities reflecting their alignment and their soul. Playable.
The Blinded: The Blinded are people of all ages, those that are not the Chosen. They can be awakened by the Chosen, by the Messengers, or by the Tyrants to whichever cause and become themselves fighters of the war, with more limited powers, but powers nonetheless. Those claimed by the forces of the Chosen and the Messengers may die and return to the Pleroma, or those claimed by any faction may remain on Earth and fight in the war. Those unawakened may seek awakening or join the forces of mankind in the struggle. Playable.
The Messengers: The Messengers come from the Pleroma. They were made in the Pleroma by the circles of Aeons, and some, born of Monad, may represent spiritual concepts while others, born of Sophia, may control physical things. The Blinded will only see the Messengers that choose to reveal themselves. Their true forms can only be seen by the forces of Monad unless they choose to reveal themselves. They may accompany the Chosen or watch over and guide the Blinded. Not playable (NPCs).
The Tyrants: The Tyrants are a force to be reckoned with. For centuries, they've had their demonic grip on the Earth. They exist in many forms, but their main cause is to distract mankind from spiritual matters and maintain a dirtied and foul human condition. They may be seen in large corporations or as entertainers, they may be seen as false prophets and hate-preachers. Whatever form they take, they try to exert power and control over others and subjugate the fair people. Their true forms can only be seen by the forces of Yaldaboath unless they choose to reveal themselves. Playable.
