Remember when I said I'd post today? Heh, good times. Day 13 of my Christmas advent/challenge thing! I'm finally starting to loathe forcing myself to write! Every day until Christmas, I'll make a post featuring either the character from the Arcana assigned to the day (apologies in advance if I fuck up their personalities) or an event of my choosing if no relevant character exists for the Arcana. Arcanas are assigned numerically, as in Fool (0) was the fourth, and the World (21) is Christmas Day. Stories have no set theme and they have no minimum length. Next Arcana is the Hanged Man, Diabolical's Alexai Dragonuv! I wasn't really sure what I was doing so yeah. It's a bit sloppy. Basic updates and schedule can be found here!
"Could you try to loosen up a bit?" Leiko called from the other end of the auditorium in attempt to make the actors speak louder so that everyone in the audience could hear well. Alexai squirmed in his place a bit to mock literally loosening up before he shifted his gaze once more on the short first-year girl he towered over and then to the script he held in his hand. The single-spaced lines melded together for a bit until Alexai shook his head and refocused himself to the task at hand; the recital wasn't going well at all. For whatever reason the boy just wasn't on point and he felt bad for messing up when his "partner" was doing her part flawlessly. Eventually, after several more bad attempts at reciting the lines, the club president waved her arms in the air dramatically and called for them to take a break while some of the other members practice their own roles. Alexai sat himself on one of the flimsy chairs they borrowed from one of the storage rooms that were set up just in front of the audience's rows and watched as the next to-be performers made thejr way onto the stage. Noboru and some slender third-year he didn't recognize took to immediately starting to act and assume their roles. Alexai wasn't particularly familiar with the "practice" script Hamada had given everyone but he knew that the scene they were rehearsing was of two rivals locking horns together. He leaned back further into his chair and idly stared at the wall across the room. Some of the club members were chatting up a storm, while some of the more dedicated members practiced their lines with their friends who were equally as into it. The boy let out a long yawn, not even bothering to raise a hand, and settled into his seat more, attempting to get comfortable on the cheap plastic. His eyes felt heavy despite his flustered mind and it wasn't long before he found himself drifting off to the dream world. Every time he found himself slowly losing consciousness, he tried to force himself up, but the sheer exhaustion he felt eventually consumed him and there was nothing to prevent him from passing out in the middle of a club meeting. Though, a sturdy tap knocked him out of his sleep and Alexai reeled back a bit, arms up, upon waking until he realized what was happening. Leiko Hamada stood indignantly, hands resting on her hips as she glared daggers at him. "Dragonuv-san, are you aware you just slept through practically our entire meeting today?" Alexai felt a pant of both embarrassment and disappointment run through him as he put together what happened, checking his watch just to verify the fact. He shot out of his chair and onto his feet, bowing immediately in apology. "I'm sorry, Hamad--" Alexai started to try to excuse himself, but Hamada verbally interupted him with a series of No no no no no's. The girl only took a deep breath after and pointed him towards the door. As he followed suit and walked over to the exit, he took notice of how nobody else was left and that he had probably caused a hassle for the club president herself, and he gave her one last weak bow before leaving.

got a bad case of food poisoning >__
