the reason; Being ostriciesd by your family does not automatically make you a grouchy emo, no matter what modern sit-coms would have you believe, Also, Alexander, like some other mages, embodies his element in more ways than one, Not only is he very to-and-fro on things, but he's also seemingly boundless with energy, and rather bad at concentrating on one thing for long periods of time. Also, due to the fact when he was ostricised from his family he didn't see it as a bad thing and didn't miss them that much he wasn't negetivly impacted on him. The reasoning goes on. but I hope this clears things up.
