Here we are in Age 1084, almost 300 years exact since the end of Dragon Ball Z. As much as everyone loves GT, for the sake of this canon we're going to pretend that never existed. After several centuries, the generally peaceful universe lost its need for the Z-Fighters. In fact, due to the popularization of Mr. Satan over the Z-Fighters, they've mostly faded from history. However, there are some that know what the times were once like and can tell that this era of peace will soon come to a close. The world is without protectors.
Where legends have died, legacies are born.
The 250th Budokai World Tournament is just around the corner. A monumental event for the tournament and the people running it. The strongest warriors of Earth will come to duke it out for a special prize unlike any other in the Budokai World Tournament: the seven Dragon Balls. With a prize that good, the tournament is sure to draw a good lot of fighters...
If you're coming into this expecting to get into over-the-top and crazy powerful fights, then you are wrong. The characters will start off vastly weaker than your favorite DB characters, say a power level range up to 700 or so. Why are they so comparatively weak? To grow stronger, of course. I haven't completed a character sheet skeleton yet, but I plan to implement a loose stat system in order to help evaluate characters. To make it easier to compare things like strength, speed, endurance, etc. Yes, descendants of the Z-Fighters do exist and can be player characters should anyone choose. Their knowledge of the past is up to the player, but I would imagine the great-great-great-great-great-great grandson of Goku would probably have heard countless stories of how awesome his family is. Just... saiyan. But in all seriousness, this interest check is a bit rushed but don't worry: the OOC will definitely have quality and be very informative. Tomorrow I'll put together an official character sheet and establish the more intricate ground rules. But for now...
Any takers? :3
