The point is that your explanation is 'pointy hair', and that you're assuming a familiarity with something that's not even been out for half a year (and only has one paragraph to it, at that). Basically: the GM doesn't have a clue what you mean, and gnomes wild vary in every D&D setting, so you need to explain what [i]you[/i] think gnomes are.
