I do like the idea of China a lot. And since Vladivostok isn't that far from China, we could have our base there. And we could fight in the varied terrain. I do realise that any Fuso witch wouldn't have to go far, they could even launch from their own mainland and reach the hive, but thats the risk we run, at least one nation will have to be close to wherever we pick.
