Aren Dexer & Misha Aren looked at Misah who was rambling about something while he was looking at some logs on a holographic screen. Aren had been in the hospital now for a month almost, and Misah continued to come each day and talk to her. Aren had slowly learned to tune out his droning health advice at this point, but in doing that she noticed his mannerisms and they were quite funny to watch. She would often giggle to herself and he would look up the occasional time or two. Today wasn't any different from the past month, or so it seemed. The head nurse, who was taking care of Aren, was getting Misah food, when she heard the sounds of yelling and boots stomping on the floor. A Nurse ran towards her and began whispering to her frantically. "Okay okay, calm down, I need you to go to the fire alarm, take this and wait for me, okay?" the nurse nodded and the head nurse passed her a round communication device, before she ran off. The head nurse dropped the foor and began making her way towards the ICU, busting through the doors "EVACUATE THE ICU! This is not a drill! I repeat, this is not a drill!" nurses looked up and began moving towards their patients, quickly unhooking and taking them towards the exit doors. Soon most everyone left or was on their way to leaving, before the head nurse opened Aren's room. "Lt.Misah, Vanguards are in the building and they're looking for someone. One of the nurses overheard them talking about "eliminating a problem" and we haven't received anyone here who has any ties remotely to the Vanguard of Oathsworn, except her." she looked at the Lel'Loni with worried eyes. Misha immediately stood up from his spot, turning towards the door cautiously, "If they're after her... that means...!" The Lei'Loni were betraying us... even after all we've done for them... my people, they have turned their back on me. What did I do wrong...? Upon hearing an explosion, Misha snapped out of his momentary daze. He looked at the girl suspended in the liquid within the tank. She is the only one that hasn't betrayed me... His hand reached into his pocket, quickly bringing out a small device to the nurse, "Take Aren out the emergency exit route. I will go and distract them." the Lei'Loni already moved to the other side of the room, "Take this "key", it is to open up my temporary quarters located in this district. Bring her there." Aren looked at the Nurse then at Misah "No...please dont kill...them all...there are going to be...Forgotten in that...squad" the nurse quickly went over to the panel and began tapping away and the pod was slowly emptying. Taking off the mask, Aren looked at Misah and banged on the glass. "Ms.Dexer stop it, you aren't fully healed. Your bones are still fragile from the medicine and treatment...!" the nurse scolded her, but Aren ignored her and her armor suddenly came on, going instantly to red. She opened her hand and Project Reginal materalized into her hand. Unsheathing the blade, she stood in a stance "Lt. Colonel! Theres no way you can break that glass!" she stepped back and Aren laughed. "Just watch me..." she quickly drew the sword, smashing it against the pod, the glass seemingly not broken. Aren sheathed the sword, and the glass broken instantly sliding all over the floor. Aren stepped out of the pod, and instantly fell to the floor and landed on one knee. "You haven't walked in a month, what are you thinking you dumbass!" the doctor put Aren's arm around the back of her neck and helped her up. Aren looked at Misah "Five minutes. You have five minutes to come back, or I'll come get you" the head nurse looked at Misah and nodded, waiting for him to go. Misha looked at the struggling little Forgotten, shaking his head. "So stubborn as always..." he muttered, "I can't promise I won't stain my hands in your sibling's blood... I'm sorry for that... and I'm also sorry for this..." Misha immediately opened up his palm and unleashed a magnetic pulse that pushed the pair a large distance away. The two slid across the ground, landing against the wall on the other side. Before Aren even had the chance to protest, a hail of plasma was blasted at the ceiling, causing the hallway to collapse before him. The last he could see of her was he was of her weak expression of shock. He stood there in the darkness until the emergency lighting flickered alive, marking the outline of the hallway. A loud humming was heard, and he quickly looked towards the gleaming light that illuminated the wall at the other side. His scanner had been picking a large quantity if high energy signatures shooting through the material. This was a plan to bypass the hallways and making a direct passage towards them. That meant these soldiers were being led by a Lei'Loni. There is no way they would allow the use of such the powerful plasma batteries otherwise. He didn't enjoy the idea of combating his very own people even after they betrayed him, but if he didn't stop them here they would easily be able to cut through the collapsed tunnel and follow the pair. Just when he came to that conclusion, the wall erupted in a crack of blinding white light that washed through the hallway. A squad of Lei'Loni moved in, moving in a rapid motion as they scanned the room for any threats. When they found no one, they gazed around in ponder, lowering their guns as the leader, a robed Lei'Loni, motioned to the wall. "She must've gone through there. Make a pathway through—!" "No, your path ends here." They all turned in shock, seeing Misha suddenly appearing at the center of them. His body wavered unnaturally as his the cloaing energy was dispersed, his glowing hands raised to the sides. With a twist of his body, a crackling of energy pierced each of them instantly, the group slumping dead on the ground. Misha watched the blood pool around him blankly while going to the side to disarm the plasma battery. Stepping over, he noticed the body beside him was a Forgotten female that looked about in her late twenties. She must've be the partner to the Lei'Loni Captain. Her eyes were still open, the purple irises staring off into nothingness. He bent down and did something he witnessed Aren do before. His fingers slid down and closed the deceased Forgotten's eyes. Why do you do this to these people, Aren...? I never understood it... I still don't. His thoughts were interrupted by a rapidly approaching form shooting down the recently opened passge. It was fast. He barely pivoted just as a plasma blade stabbed the air where his head had been, but even though he dodged that attack, the following punch flung him off into the dark hallway. The Lei'Loni made a flip in an attempt to recover his lost balance, but just as his feet were about to touch down, he was grabbed in the air by his throat and smashed down to the ground. It cracked beneath him, the Lei'Loni's mainframe suffering a temporary delay from the sheer shock. His vision became static, and the commands to his body weren't outputting to his external systems. When he was finally able to see, a set of four blinking lights met his optical input, the figure slowly lifting his body from the rubble. He indentified the Lei'Loni as a "Mark - VIII Assault Class." "To think the revered experimental "Zaros" model will open fire on fellow Lei'Loni...? What is it? Do you actually care for that pathetic Forgotten? They are nothing but slaves. Their race asked for such an existence, didn't they?" the low voice spoke with a spiteful chucke, "What's more shocking though, is how easy it was to take you down. Is this really all you're capable of? I'm quite disappointed." The Lei'Loni pulled back its glowing plasma blade and thrust it at Misha's abdomen. —Zkkttt....shhh! Just as it moved closer to him, Misha grabbed the energy composed blade with his hands. There was a surge of unstable energy as it was curved back into the opening of the hilt. In an instant, an eruption of energy crashed between them, seperating them both to opposite ends. It lifted its head, staring at Misha in awe. "How...?" it yelled, "No... wait, there could only be one answer...! Your hands... they're made of Reso'nan—!" While he finished his last words Misha had darted up and seized the enemy Lei'Loni's neck with a dominating force. "People who waste too much time talking tend to die." he muttered, "Still, take pride in the fact that you were able to catch me off guard... too bad it wasn't enough." With a single snap, he crushed the neck, tearing out the cables and fibers connecting the mainframe to the Au'Rum core. He watched distastefully as the body jittered violently, falling over with a low thud. "I used to view you all as my kin, but now I only have one person that I can serve." he muttered, "The ony person that hasn't betrayed me..." When more heat signatures were located on his scanner, Misha knew that other Lei'Loni were being sent after him. No doubt the one lying at his feet had on a direct feed and was sending Misha's act of disobediance back to Headquarters before it was shut down. They will be searching for us. I must kill everything on this floor. He aimed a hand at the still-active battery, shooting it. As the plasma coursed through the air towards the object, Misha darted down the hallway, his thrusters opening up and propelling him like a rocket through the air. His body gleamed as his personal shields became active, the young Lei'Loni crashing through wall after wall while shooting at all the pillars he passed by. When he plasma finally entered the battery, the device sparked as its core began to overload from the shot of plasma, erupting into a wave of bright energy that engulfed everything in an all-consuming flame. With the supports being taken out, the whole building around him easily caved underneath the powerful force. Misha was diving through the walls towards the exit, finally breaching the finall barrier to see the large security doors. He pushed his thrusters to the limit, forcing forward until his body was consumed by the wave of energy. He reached out, but was lost in the light. The massive amount of damage his shields were taking caused them to rapidly enter Lockdown, leaving him exposed to the violent heat. Warning!!! ...Core Nerves, damaged. His systems began to fail as emergency tags flashed all across his vision. Warning!!! ...Mainf$#)@, damaged. Aren... I can almost make it to you... Warning!!!... System nearing fatal damage, core will commence Lockdown to begin internal self-repairs. ... Misah could hear a distorted voice yelling, followed by a small hole being formed in the rubble that was surrounding him. Out of it he could see something purple looking at him. It reached for his jacket collar and slowly began pulling him out, upon which he was layed down and looked up at the sky. He was suddenly being struck. He could hear the voice speak, but couldn't decipher the words used. His sensors didn't indicate a clear face, not that he could resist anyway. He was under the mercy of this individual, shortly blacking out as his core went into a forced Lockdown of unecessary systems to recover energy. ... It was Aren who stood over him, slapping he Lei'Loni with all her force, trying to wake him up, "I'm" she slapped him again "going" once more she slapped him again "TO KILL YOU! YOU DUMBASS!" she picked him up by his collar and her eyes almost seemed like they were trying to pierce into his soul "five minutes....five minutes i gave you..." Her eyes started to water and she looked away, Misah's collar still in her small hands. Letting him go, she stepped over him and put her left hand on her hips, while the other began ruffling through her hair. She sighed "Nurse I'm sorry to ask you, but can we use your car?" the nurse smiled at the Aren. "Of course you can, though someone will need to tend to him. I've worked on all your kind, so I'll tag along for now and help this one." she pointed over to Misah and Aren nodded. Her armor went back to the normal shade of green, picking up Misah, she put his arm around the back her neck, while the other was around the nurses. Together they began dragging Misah towards the parking garage, down an alleyway. Sounds of sirens and helicopters filled the air, hovering around the large burning facility, the search lights trying to shine through the massive plumes of smoke. "You know, you might become a criminal if they found out you helped us, you alright with that?" "My life needed more of a rush anyways I suppose." they both laughed quietly "Though the real reason is that, I dont want to see such a cute couple die over dumb things." Aren full on stopped and started doing that laugh to the point you stomach starts to hurt. She rubbed her eyes of tears from laughing and kept moving. "How old do you reckon I am Nurse?" "Well, you cant be more then at least in your 20's." Aren nodded and made a "meh" face, "Okay fair enough. Misah is 31, so that would put us at a pretty far age gap I suppose." "Well it's only 10 years at the most, I mean I've dated MUCH older men before" "Try 15 years." "What?" "Nurse im quite posibly older then you, im 46, turning 47 soon." the nurse looked at Aren with wide eyes, in turn Aren winked at her "And besides that point, I've known Misah since he was 21 years old, thats ten years of being around the same person day in and day out. I love Misah, don't get me wrong, but it's a different type of love if you can understand." the nurse shook her head. "In all of my career as a nurse, you two are quite possibly the weirdest duo I have met, and I've seem some shit." Aren laughed again, before going back to her emotionless face. "Im glad we can take that award." they stopped in front of the car that was parked on the road, together they put Misah in the back seat, and the nurse jumped in the passenger seat. Aren walked around and got in, the belt locking on top of her and everyone else, when she put the key into the ignition. The car suddenly hovered into the air, the engine making the sound of a jet almost. Aren checked her mirror, before pulling into the road and sped away from the now swarmed hospital. Slowly they made their way through the city, though a suddenly realization game to thought "If Misah killed Vanguards, they'll be at his home..." The nurse nodded and thought for a moment "Use mine, they dont know my involvment at all with you two, so it'll take longer for them to find you" Aren shook her head and looked at Misah who was still passed out. "I can't endanger you like that!" "Eh, it will happen either way, so you're stuck with me." the nurse patted Aren's shoulder, making Aren sigh an nodded. Pressing on the dash board, Aren tapped on the holographic screen and switched the steering wheel over to the right side of the car. The nurse took over, and Aren watched out the window at the booming city around them. They didn't even realize the danger around them, no one did. Aren tried to rack up a reason why they would try to kill her, maybe she knew to much? maybe she was a threat? It took another twenty minutes but they arrived at the head nurses apartment, a rather big one in fact. "How...how do you afford this on a nurse salary?" the nurse laughed and shrugged her shoulders. "I came from a rich family, they wanted me to be a doctor, I ended up being a nurse. At this point in my life, I dont question things anymore" Aren nodded. They walked the Lei'Loni up the stairs and some of her neighbors walked past asking her if everything was okay "Yeah, totally, this one had a little to much to drink and the Forgotten had some to drink as well, they didn't have a ride, so I offered to drive them. However it would appear that Mister hear is on the verge of throwing up, so yeah" there was a couple of laughs and waves exchanged, before they made it to the elevator. They leaned him up against the wall of the elevator and Aren sighed. The nurse started humming to the tune of the Elevator music "I like this song" Aren almost faced palmed. The door opened and the picked up Misah again, taking him down the hall and towards a wall. The nurse pulled out a card, placing it on the wall. She tapped in a code and the wall slid open, walking inside, the wall closed and the Nurse waved her hand. A holograhic control board appeared in front of her, and she turned on the lights. Waving her free hand again she closed the blinds and then closed the control board "But him down on the couch, I'll go see if I have a battery of some sort to charge at least his basic weapons and defenses up." They layed him down, Aren resting his head on her lap and the nurse patted her shoulder, before getting up. Aren looked up at her armor and sighed "Re, you awake?" The hologram chibi appeared in front of her and bowed. "As you're aware Mistress, i am not capable of sleeping. It is silly to think that an A.I would need sleep if you think about i-" "Its just an expression..." Aren sighed "Do you think you're able to transfer enough energy from my armor to Misah, just to wake him up and talk?" Re landed on Misah's face and put her palm on his forehead "Your armor will be disabled for the next ten to twenty minutes, are you alright with this?" Aren nodded and Re turned her head back to Misah. Suddenly a green shining light flashed and Re was gone. Aren's armor went into a dull green, almost weak and Aren looked at Misah. "Hey...you okay? I only gave you enough power to talk, dont try to move or you might drain your energy" she looked down at Misah. "Aren...?" he muttered, "So it was you who was hitting me earlier... I'm not sure if I feel alright or not. My core is still recharging. After pushing it so much... it will require quite a bit of time to allow access to other parts of my system.... but enough about me. All that matters is that you're..." the energy surging in his body abruptly began to fade, "Alright..." Aren flicked him in the forehead and shook her head "You do understand the roles are reversed here, correct? Dont you ever, EVER put yourself in that situation again Misah, or i wont forgive you. What would I have done if you died...you big dummy...look you're making my eyes water..." she wiped her eyes and her voice cracked "I'm so sick of freaking crying..." she laughed to herself, hearing the Nurse coming she coughed and cleared her throat. The nurse walked over to the table and pulled out a box of some sort, pulling cables from it, she walked over and tapped on the side of Misah's arm "Hey Nurse, whats your name?" Misah's arm opened up and opened up a panel of sorts of a bunch of different outlets. She plugged the huge cable into the side of the Arm of Misah and stood up stretching "Lia, real simple to remember" she winked at the both of them, before going back into her room to change. Getting into more causal clothes, she walked back and went into the kitchen "you hungry Ms.Dexer?" Aren patted Misah's chest before getting up. Walking over to the counter island in the middle of the kitchen, she leaned over it and watched the Nurse pull stuff from fridge "I'm fine, being what I am, I dont really get hungry much, also you can call me Aren" it was silent for a moment before Aren caught herself checking the nurse out slightly "so like I have to ask...are you single?" the nurse laughed and nodded her head yes. "I'm...how do you say it...not particularly fond of men if that makes sense." "Fond of men? Sorry I dont think i quite understand..." The nurse laughed "Misah wanna explain this one?" she looked back at the couch were Misah was laying down. He was used to Aren's habit of asking random, mostly inappropriate, questions to people she just met. It was how she made connections and such. While he wouldn't use a similar method, he was actually glad she would do things like this. It saved him the trouble of doing it himself. He knew how bad he was in how he dealt with others. What he wasn't used to, was having a person involve him willingly in a social interaction, let alone be presented with such an odd question. Most people feared him and avoided him, but this nurse, who was so respectful a month ago, was treating him like any other person. He was certain that their interactions were kept to a minimum. What happened? Nonetheless, he was being issued a favor from someone he assumed was providing them shelter from the eyes of the Vanguard based on his surveyance of the surrounding living space. Misha spoke up, "I think... judging by the context of the word "fond"... she means that she is attracted only to females." During the time Misah had taken to gather his words, Lia had give Aren some water. Aren went to drink the water, midsentence of what Misah was saying. Almost instantly spitting out her water and looking at Lia "HO shi....okay that was kind of unexpected, I apoligize for reacting that way, you're just so pretty I would have never..." Aren went to wipe the spilled water and the nurse giggled. "Ah dont worry about it, thats definately the most tame reaction i've gotten from telling people" "huh...What's your take on that Misah? I feel like Lia would have been your type, no? I saw the looks you gave her in her nurse uniform" Aren winked at Lia, teasing Misah to lighten up the awkward moment. Lia caught on, and actutally jumped on the joke "You know, I haven't been with a guy in a while, what about you Misah? You ever been with a girl who is "attracted only to females"?" the two giggled and looked at Misah. He didn't understand why they were laughing. He thought it was pretty obvious that Lei'Loni didn't have any reproductive organs. He also had the belief that romantic relationships were an attempt for two members of a race to reproduce, so why would he ever pursue something like that? Is that irony why they thought it so funny? "I've never been with anyone I've considered... "a girl." he answered, "Nor do I have any plans to." Lia raised and eye brow and went back to cooking "So you've been with a man then? I mean that's awesome if that is the case, but does Aren know that? That might disappoint her" Aren rolled her eyes "He wishes I loved him that way" Upon hearing that, Misha had a slight image of the girl being his "mating partner." It was rather disturbing and he immediately swiped the date from his mainframe. What two humans did in heat was one of the few notable things about the race he wishes to have never learned about. That, and also their obsession over "cute" things. It was a mystery he couldn't get any closer to understanding whenever he questioned Aren about it. He shook his head vigorously, "I would never do such...vile things to her. She's too precious to me." Aren stared at him and Lia glanced over at Aren "Stare any harder Aren and you might go blind" Aren shook her head, clearing her thoughts "grab that remote for me?" Lia pointed over at a remote right next to Aren. Sliding it across the counter, Lia washed her hands and left the food on the stove, putting the burner on low. Whiping her hands off, she grabbed the remote and turned on the projecters that beamed onto the wall in the living room and on the counter island. Lia shifted through a number of channels before she put on the nation wide news station. "Breaking News! two hours ago, Saint Jospeh Hospital was attacked by Lt.Misah and Lt.Colonel Aren Dexer. Lt.Colonel Dexer was reported to have been in recovery, but we are being told that Lt.Misah was visiting her everyday. There are many speculations, but many of the nurses say they over heard Lt.Misah and Lt.Colonel Dexer speaking of acts such as "Killing one of the five General's, and some even went on to say they over heard them planning the attack. The Vanguard responded with sending in an Elite team to deal with the two, but it seems that Lia Melnor, the head Nurse, was helped Lt.Colonel Dexer escape while Lt.Misah bought them time. Lt.Misah proceeded to preform several acts of treason, and on top of that collapse an entire ICU floor, killing twenty Lel'Loni and human soldiers. If you are aware of the where abouts of these three, we urge you to contact the Vanguard emergency number" Lia muted the program and put her hands on the counter. "Lia, I'm really sorry, we should have never got you involved..." Aren touched her hand. Lia sighed "I knew what I was signing myself up for when I walked towards your room. No body forced me to do anything, I helped of my own free will. I guess this makes me your personal Medic" she tried to make a small joke but deep down she was worried. "We should get a move on, with how things are looking, we're going to need some help" by now Misah should have been functioning enough to walk on his own, though his defense and offensive system's were a ways off from working. Lia stopped Aren "we're going to have to look normal, so if possible, could you retract...all of this?" she pointed to Aren's armor. Aren thought for a moment "I haven't retracted this armor, excluding showers, to look normal in a very long time..." she called up Re again and asked her to shut down the armor. It took a moment, but the armor was finally retracted and all she stood in was her underwear and sports bra. She hugged herself "I feel...naked..." Lia laughed and pushed her towards her bedroom. "Ill watch Misah, you can take whatever, It's not like I can take all of it anyways" Aren nodded and went into the bedroom. Lia sat on the table in front of Misah, grabbing his hand and touching up and down his arm "How does that feel?" "It's still a dull sensation, but at least my core is allowing for weak signatures." he said, slowly getting up to a sit, "...I owe you an incredible debt for ignoring the consequences and helping us..." he paused for a second, "Do you have any family? They are in danger. The Vanguard will go to them searching for you. Since you've helped me and my allies, I will offer the same to you." "Listen, I clearly knew what i was getting into like I said. No one forces me to do anything, this was of a my own free will. Was it smart? No, but it was still my decision" she patted his hand and laughed "I wouldn't worry about my family, the Melnor's have already officially disowned me, they actually didn't even know where I was and still most likely dont." shuffling from inside the bedroom followed by a blonde headed girl entering the room made Lia get stuck in a trance almost. Aren pulled down the sweater lower over her waist, looking the other way "This is stupid..." Lia jabbed Misah in the side "No you look freaking adorable! I dont even look that good in those cloth, right Misah" Lia looked at him and then tilted her head over to Aren, who was still looking down and playing with the sleeves of the sweater. "It suits you." Misha nodded, "You resemble those girls that appear on those popular magazines I've seen humans read. Their abnormally high heartrates when looking at such girls would indicate they are in an aroused state. Being able to bring such a reaction from members of the opposite gender is a good sign, right?" Aren blushed harder and pulled her gun from the holser on the back of her waist under the sweater "...I hate you..." Lia laughed and walked over to Aren, getting her to holster the gun back and helped roll up the girls sleeves, thus revealing an odd looking crow tattoo that was on Aren's wrist, making her pull her hand away and pulled that sleeve down, letting the other rolled up. Lowering her voice so that Misah couldn't hear "Pretend you didn't see that for me" Lia nodded, though wondered what the crow meant, it was odd to see such a tattoo, she had only seen few tattoos thats looked like that, and that bird. It was a cursed bird, or atleast that was what was said in the old books of the past. It was...a crow? Reguardless, she wondered why Aren had a tattoo of it, she hadn't even seen it when she was in the hospital, then again she had her armor up so that would make sense. Aren moved to the window and looked through the blinds "Do we even know where to go at this point? What should we do Misah?" she looked at the Lel'Loni who was still on the couch. He contemplated their options for a second, only to realize they really didn't have many at all, and how strange it was to be given an option at all. For the first time, he would be doing something that he had decided on his own, not commanded or ordered. There was no "objective" beyond what he wanted to happen. He looked down, ...I want to know why. "We need to find out why they wanted to kill you, Aren." he muttered, "If they were willing to try and kill off two renown officers like us, they must have a reason. We've lost all our allies, and our threat is massive. We need help, but not just any kind..." He stood up from the couch, turning his head to Lia, "Do you have a computer of some kind? I need to contact a few "friends." By now they would've removed my access to the Vanguard's database, but that doesn't mean I can't do things the "old fashioned way." I remember the secret Input Links to a few "suspicious" organizations I've been told to investigate in the past. Seeing as we're both trying to combat the Lei'Loni, I'm sure they won't reject two soldiers of our calibur." Aren thought for a moment "I wouldn't be so sure, we are still the enemy, dont forget that They could very well double cross us or think us as a trap and kill us on the spot. I'm not saying lets not take the risk, but those are variables to keep in mind when trying to gain allies from enemies" she scanned the street with her eyes and the sun started to set and the moon, or rather moons, creeped from the horizon. "Well, what choice do we have...?" he said, looking at her, "Don't worry about it Aren, I don't break my promises. I said I'd find those guys back in the facility that took your Mothers, right? If this doesn't work. I'll find another way." The nurse looked at Aren, with a "what the fuck" face and Aren waved her hand as if to say she would tell her later. Lia shrugged and jumped over the couch and sat down, tapping the table and a holographic screen brought up a screen resembling a much more advanced "windows" type operating system. "Here, hope this works" she moved over and awaited to watch what Misah was doing. He bent down to his knees, pulling out a chord from his arm and inserting it into a socket at the side. The screen flashed, programs popping in and out as vast amounts of code was being written on the side. "I can't hold a long conversation. Seeing as how I was able to find such links thought to be "secret" by this organization, it'll be traced down in moments by others looking for us. However, I can send a small package of information through undetected. Hopefully this will be enough to convince them to help us." the code began to shift as words began to be typed across the flat screen. It read, "I am Lt. Misha. I'm sure you've heard the news. There is a reason we are being hunted down by the Vanguard. It isn't what they claim it to be. We have the "key" to make your plans to overthrow the Lei'Loni a reality. Along with this message are a set of instructions. Follow them." Quickly the words began to be piled on by the abstract coding, and once the last letter was covered, the screen suddenly blinked off. He stood up, "I covered the message with a powerful encryption program. No doubt the Vanguard will be able to crack it, but by the time that happens, we'll already be out of their grasp." The Lei'Loni started looking around the room, "Do you have something I can cover my body with? I need to hide from the eyes of others." he motioned to the tattered cloth he had drapped over his body, "We have a long walk towards our next destination, and these are rather suspicious." Lia looked at Misah, getting a mental picture "Uhh...one second" She walked back into the bed room. Aren closed the curtain again and sat at the dinner table, pulling up her sleeve and looking at the crow tattoo, having a flash back and pulling the sleeve up and ruffling through her hair "Think we fucked up on this one?" she spoke to Misah while looking at the table. "This all we've got. Our choices so far... Even with my mind being amplified by machine, I'm not able to foresee what lies at the end of all this." Misha said in a low voice, "Fuck up" or not..." he paused. "We have to make the best out of it." He looked at her, "If I recall, that is what you said to me 10 years ago in our first conversation." Aren ruffled her hair again and propped her head on the other hand "Ha...I didn't teach you to become public enemy number one and go against your own kin." Misha turned his head down, "That is... my own choice. The first choice I've made in my entire life without others telling me what to think or do. Without you being at my side all this time, I wouldn't have been able to make such a decision. I don't regret it at all...leaving behind those who didn't give me a choice to continue being by your side." "Your race is to damn loyal, you know that right?" she leaned back in her chair, standing it on to legs and looking at him smiling like a idiot. Lia walked back in with a scarf "Misah how tall are you?" He erected his body fully, standing only a few inches short from having his head smash against the ceiling. He looked down at the cloth in Lia's hands. "I don't think such a small piece of fabric is going to cover my body..." "No, this is for you head." she put it around his neck, standing on her tippy toes. Grabbing his hand, she led him into another room and waved her hand, opening the closet and a number of men cloths were present "This will work, go through whatever you want and you can wear it, these will definately fit you." Lia went to leave. "May I ask why you have so many articles of men's attire, but don't have any interest in them...?" "I kill men and take their clothes." she winked at Misah "Have fun." she walked out the closet and back into main area, taking a seat at the table across from Aren. Misha became alarmed by this statement. He didn't know whether she was telling the truth or not. Her body signatures didn't indicate any real shift. He stood there for a long moment, deciding whether he should be more disturbed by the fact that she might be, or fearful for the fact that she had to lie about the actual reason why she had men's clothes. Shaking his head, he quickly went in and began searching for something that would properly cover him. Emerging from the curtain, he was donned in a long, gray leather overcoat, similar to the one issued to officers of the Vanguard. The only real differences were that this one didn't have the insignias, and had the addition of a hood. Over his face was the scarf Lia had presented earlier, wrapped in a way that covered the lower half of his face. He tried to look like the typical Yof'Kurr that would walk among the other races, covering their faces to try and hide the fact that they were Lei'Loni. With a few final exchanges the three said farewell to the lofty apartment room, heading down into the long streets that seperated the sprawling apartments. The night life was already beginning to kick up, and members of all manners of races roamed the streets for one reason or another. Misha tried to keep his head low while Aren and Lia had hushed conversations. Even those were difficult. There was no doubt already a bounty upon their heads; any ounce of attention could spur all kinds of trouble. Their faces were broadcasted and known to all now, so that meant Misha had to cover up the two girls in thick coats similar to his. They looked like a poor family wandering the streets during dusk searching for a place to sleep. Luckily such a sight was a pretty common occuance in these parts of the city. He felt pathetic seeing Aren hiding her face as though she was a pitiful creature running from a predator. He pushed forward with a silent curse. They will definitely find answers for being reduced to acting so shameful. He will make sure of it. ... Long, cold hours had passed by the time they turned the corner and reached a small pub with a blinking pink sign. The insignificant brown cut-out placed at the side of a massive skyscraper didn't look anything like it's name, "Pink Fantasia." Entering the sliding doors, Misha had to duck his head to enter, taking a quick glance around before he found a booth in the back to sit. It was shabby, smelly, and filled by all sorts of shady-looking individuals. Rows of tables, and a long "U" shaped table hooked around the entirety of the bar with various servers stood performing their tasks of cleaning and issuing drinks to the customers. None of them paid much attention to the three, returning to their drinks after a scowling gaze. They appeared just like any other poor gang, so they weren't worth any time troubling. This place, and the many others above and around them, signaled that they were definitely in the Lower Section of the Central District. Misha remained there, his head remaining low as he browsed the menu. People didn't watch them, but it was dead quiet as they entered, then suddenly became lively again. Aren sat next to Lia, both of them with their hood up. Lia looked at the bartender "We'll be good here dont worry" Aren looked at her scared for a moment and Lia removed her hood first. Aren followed and instantly a number of men and women stared at the two. Aren looked into her lap "I hate this..." "Ah you get use to it after awhile, like this watch" she took Aren's hand and took her coat off. Aren followed and then was pulled up by Lia, Lia wrapped her arm around Aren's waist. Aren played along and they walked towards a man who was clearly drunk off his ass. Lia sat down and Aren sat in her lap, putting head on her chest and getting near Lia's neck. almost kissing it. The man looked over at the two and looked away, then completely did a double take "Uh...Jalsol, can I have a round of shots!?" "You got it" he filled up a row of shot glasses and he quickly passed some to the two. Misha watched from afar, shaking his head. They weren't supposed to be making a scene, but it's far too late for that now. He slouched over the table to make it look like he was drunk while his hands were secretly fiddling with a latch underneath the table. There was a reason he chose seats right here. With a twist, it opened. Misha's finger opened up, revealing the many tools built-in. Plugging it in, he was now connected to the Pub's mainframe. Their anti-hacking security was a joke to him. In no time he was able to get a live feed from the cameras stationed outside, the names of the people who worked here, their Identification Codes, and even how much money the owner has spent buying erotic magazines. Half of these things he didn't care about. He just wanted extra eyes to know when to leave if there are any signs of trouble. ... An hour passed and by now most of the place almost swarmed the two girls. Aren, though she could play along, began to break after a number of men ask her to come home with them. Lia took the iniative and full on kissed Aren "Sorry boys, she's mine." Lia winked at them and almost at the some time the men began to leave. Aren got off of Lia, still to stunned to talk, Lia laughed and held Aren's hand back to the table. It was hard to tell if Aren was drunk or not, but Aren sat on Lia's lap and stared at Misah who didn't even seem to move, "Yu-....You know...wut? Why...why donchu ave' eyes?" she hiccupped and Lia giggled. Patting Aren's leg, she looked at Misah "You should have warned me about how much of a light weight she is, and guessing from her expression, has never kissed anyone, let alone another girl. It's...different, seeing someone who looks and acts like she just turned 21, but is older then me" she looked back at the now closed eye'd Aren. Misha nodded calmly at her, but was actually getting rather anxious. The time was 3:50 a.m. It was getting near the appointed time where their "escort" would be arriving. What happened when the clock strikes 4:00 would determine the rest of their lives. There weren't many other options if this plan failed. It wouldn't be impossible, but their task would prove exponentially more difficult.
