“You’re Sherpa’s main target!” Liaena retorted furiously, looking in no way soothed by Sharon’s overtures as she brushed the hand of appeal off her shoulder to glower up at her lover. “It’s way too dangerous!” Choosing to ignore Sharon’s all-too-perceptive remark about her own intended role in the operation, the girl glanced out of the window again at the setting sun. “…and there isn’t the time for this, Sharon! You are NOT coming, and that’s that” “Liaena…” “I mean it!” Liaena cried out forcefully. Taking a step back and drawing herself up to her full – unimpressive – height in an attempt to look more authorative, she stabbed a finger up at the High Elf who was giving her a passive I-knew-you’d-react-like-this sort of look. It did not improve her temper. “For all you know, this could all be a trap set for you by Sherpa! If you come with us, it’d just be playing into his hands!” “…If that’s the case…” Sharon returned, still managing to maintain the same calm tone as he spoke. Liaena wished he would shout. It would make it so much easier to rage at him. “…You would be springing it in my place, Liaena” “Yes, well. That’s my business” The girl returned stubbornly after a moments pause. Liaena balled her fists by her sides as she glared up at the High Elf. “I need to deal with this, okay? But there is NO way I’m letting you get into danger because – because of this! This isn’t your fight!”
