The reputation for ridiculous power levels the Demonbane franchise has gained is really funny to me, when for 90% of the story the main characters are best described as "a shitty superhero, a tsundere book and their knock-off mecha."

I apologize for not directly listing what the spells I named did, but it didn't flow especially well in the CS. I'll list them now.

Mirror of Nitocris: The Mirror can reflect energy attacks, cast illusions (such as copies of the user), and turn the user invisible.
Elder Sign: A powerful magical barrier that wards against physical, mental, and spiritual attacks alike.

It is powered by the same Cor Leonis drive as its predecessor, and Kuzaku uses himself as the grimoire to power the artificial Deus Machina. Its on-board backup weapon is a pair of vulcan cannons mounted in the head. Kuzaku can summon Demonbane Two Sword to any location that has enough space for it, but the process is somewhat long and leaves him vulnerable.

Timaeus and Critias: Spell drives on Demonbane Two Sword's leg shields, they warp time and space to allow the Deus Machina to perform physics-defying manuevers. They are used in the Atlantis Strike finishing move, which distorts space-time to evade an enemy's defenses, and deliver catastrophic damage directly to their core.
Shantak Wing: Wings hidden behind Timaeus and Critias allow Demonbane Two Sword flight, even in the vacuum of space or between dimensions.[/hider]
