The Champion wasn't paying attention when Nel appeared next to him. The sound of his voice made him jump in surprise. "Wha?" he let out before realizing that a fan had simply gotten into the fighters' area. After calming down and letting out a sigh, Jack smiled and began to laugh. "You surprised me there," he confessed after he returned to a neutral state. After another sigh he picked up an empty glass and a pitcher of water. "Yeah, I kinda got beat out there. But it doesn't matter too much in the end. Winning isn't everything. Losing is a part of life." After pouring himself a glass he looked first at Nel then out to the window. "Interesting that no security kept you out of the area," Jack commented before taking a sip of his drink. "I personally don't mind but people can't just be flooding the place. Those still in the tournament need their space." He looked at the large Namekian before systematically glancing over at all the victors so far. "I might not be continuing in the tournament but at least I'll get to watch some good fights. I'm sure of it." Another sip of his drink and his gaze went back to Nel. "So what do you want me to sign?" he joked. --- As Shady and his many various clones left the stage, the announcer spoke up again. "And now for the final fight of the first round! We have newcomers Meat and Vetro! Fighters! Take the stage!" The tall, lanky human that is Vetro quickly bounded to the stage, full of energy. By the time he reached his starting point the bulky midget Meat just started walking to the stage. The two fighters squared up at the center. Vetro was easily three times the height of his opponent but in all likelihood they probably weighed the same. Fenro stood at perfect attention in the fighting area as the gong sounded. The small man took up an interesting stance where he brought his arms to his sides but kept his fists forward, almost like he was charging up. Wasting no time, Vetro dashed forward and began a barrage of punches and kicks. To everyone's surprise, Meat simply stood in his pose without making any effort to dodge or block, taking every blow full-force. After a moment of this, Meat began radiating a blue glow. Once Vetro noticed this, as well as realizing that his attacks were doing nothing to his smaller foe, he jumped back to a safe distance. "Are you going to fight, man?" Vetro asked, confused as to what was going on. With a shout of primal rage, Meat blasted forward. His head connected with Vetro's midsection, sending the lanky man flying through the air like a rocket. As Vetro crashed into and entirely through the concrete wall beneath the stands, the announcer began shouting. "Wow! That was so fast I could hardly keep my eyes on it! The winner is Meat! I knew betting money on him was a good idea!" The large Namekian glared at the small human as he casually walked off the stage. --- Jack heard the announcer declare the winner and looked out the window. "Huh. I missed it. Must've been another quick one. I guess the second round will begin soon," he spoke, mostly to himself. He returned his attention to Nel. "As I was saying you should probably lay a bit low and try not to bother too many people. The fighters need to focus, after all. But you can talk to losers like me all you want." With his jab that he made at himself, Jack chuckled a few times before letting out a depressed sigh.
