Power: Umbrakinesis (The ability to control Darkness/Shadows). Shade is capable of using and manipulating any shadow with an approximated 220 yards (also equates to 660 feet, halfway around a standard American track). He is also capable of taking the shadow of anything he destroys with him, however as he generally doesn't destroy too much, this extra power storage has little use. Killing is also counted as destruction for some unknown reason.

Bio: Shade's powers manifested when he was 13, so he hasn't had as much time to learn to control them as some Outcasts have. He also grew up in a suberb of Chicago, Illinios in America. Shade is called Shade becuase he has long since stopped using his birth name, renouncing it due to becoming an Outcast. He views the worlds choice to abandon the Outcasts alone in Redbridge as dishonorable, stupid, and an insult to his very existence, and as such for they're choice to renouce the Outcasts, he has in turn renouced the World. He isn't all that affected by becoming an Outcast, as he was a social outcast even before his powers truely manifested, and his mind had latched onto the Shadows long before he gained their abilities. In many ways, this actually helps him in his manipulation, as he already has thought up some skills he can have using his power. He also has a bit of a personality problem, as he is forgetful, even with his own past- but he does know and remember (He finds it hard to forget when your mind reminds you 24/7) that he has Multiple Personality Disorder. While still completely functional in any normal Society, he is....weird. He has three personalities, or "alters" that work as moods for him. Each is generally very similar, but their personal characteristics are very diverse, with one being a normal happy but fanboyish nerd, one being a cold indifferent teenager, and finally one being a somewhat psychotic battle junkie. After becoming an Outcast, Shade found many-a-battle with out would-be Outcasts, and even some criminals, using his power to protect himself and any he might (actually) be protecting and assist in his fights with both the normal and different. Generally he is as realistic and sensable as he can be, working hard only with his thoughts and observations to try and keep himself grounded in Reality and answer as many of the questions that plague the World as he can, even to this day. His minor OCD causes him to be greatly displeased when he is unable to answer a question, and usually devotes quite a bit of time to thinking up answers to questions that nobody has completely answered yet, this same OCD causes him to really hate anything asymmetrical that can or should be. Also, he easily realized the worlds obvious efforts to eliminate or imprision Outcasts, and quickly made his way to Redbridge- For even if he may be a bit evil, a little suicidal, and definitely competitive and Prideful, he refuses to have to stand against the world and its might for no reason when he can just take the easy, lazy way to continue living. Laziness is a common trait in all his personalities, along with an insatible need for Victory, Games, and Fiction. Perhaps his life was just perfect for making him survive as an Outcast, as he is a bit of a survivor and warrior....it's unfortunate that he can't really take care of his health without anyones aid. Cooking, is most certainly something you don't want to have him doing. Or driving for that matter.
