The school bell rang with a dull sound through out the sounds of the elementary school. In the next couple years Ferra would be in the junior high, but for now these four brick walls were home away from home. *"Amy! Don't forget to ask your parents!"* the young girl called after her friend as she packed her homework into her backpack. Amy had already gone, out of ear shot of Ferra's plead. *"Dang it! I hope she heard me."* Ferra said zipping up her bright purple backpack, waiting for her mom to come pick her up. She hadn't. Amy usually took the bus, but Ferra's mother felt she was too small and immature for that yet. Maybe in a few years. Popping her head in the door Francine waved to her daughter, getting a huge cheeky grin in return. The two gave a hearty squeeze, and light kisses along their cheeks. **"How was your day my sweet Ferra?"** Francine asked her daughter as they walked to the car, hand in hand. *"Today was good, Amy I played on the swings and we played tag for a little bit. I asked her if she wanted to come to my dance recital, but she didn't seem like she wanted to come."* she pouted to her mom, as they reached the doors, popping them open as they got in and fastened their seat belts. Ferra placed her backpack on the floor, taking out her tablet to play as they headed towards her grandparent's before the recital that night. **"Well, I'll call Amy's parents when we get to papa and mema's house."** Francine assured her daughter as they took off down the road. *"GOOD!"* Ferra exclaimed, turning on the tablet and beginning to play a dress up game she had downloaded yesterday.
