This RP is based off of an AWESOME show called Code Lyoko. If you are a gamer, and have ever dreamed of becoming a hero, this RP is based off of your favorite dream come true! Code Lyoko has always been, and always will be, my favorite show in history. It is suited for children younger than 18 (Cough), but it's amazing even at my age now! Code Lyoko: XANA's Return is based off of the entire series, not skipping any information, or throwing any ideas having ever been used. There was a show that came afterwards, called Code Lyoko: Evolution, which had real people with animations mixed in. That show was only released in France, but I've watched all of it and have deemed it worthy to be part of this RP. This RP is based after Evolution, so do not get that confused, but the story of this RP can make it confusing once you read it... This RP takes place AFTER Evolution, and all of the events having happened then, and before then, have happened! --- # Code Lyoko: XANA's Return #### Story **This contains spoilers to the show! Beware!** The story of Code Lyoko follows the group of a bunch of friends at Kadic junior high school. The show starts out with them all knowing each other, but during a later season they start the show with a two-part episode, explaining the time they all first met. It first started out with Jeremy, who was looking through an old abandoned factory near town. He was looking for spare robot parts to build things. He accidentally stumbled upon a room with a massive calculator (Computer), but didn't understand it's full power until later. He eventually told his roommate, Ulrich, about his discovery. At some point or another they discovered it wasn't just a massive calculator... it was a Super Computer! On top of that, it held a digital world within it, which they soon figured out could be entered! Together, they schemed to test the machine, by stealing one of their classmates mutts (The owner named Odd), and forcing him against his will into a Scanner, which allows people to enter the world themselves! The owner's dog found out, and saved his dog at the last second, but fell victim to their trap, and ended up within the machine himself. When he woke up, he was within the digital world, wearing strange clothes, and having magical powers! Eventually, the three figured out there was an evil Artificial Intelligence within it, plotting to take over the world, and Jeremy had just awoken it.... On top of that, there was a girl, named Aelita, trapped within the computer, without any memories for seasons to come. Jeremy fell in love, and wanted to free her, but at the cost of that had to leave the computer on and risk the evil AI, named XANA, from escaping and taking over. The four friends eventually found out this evil XANA has powers of her own, and can attack the real world! Ulrich was eventually trapped at the school during an attack, and ended up bringing another friend with him to the super computer, for he would not have escaped otherwise. Her name was Yumi. Finally, with their group big and powerful, the five of them fought XANA, saving the world from it's evil. They realized they had a big secret they had to keep, and it would be impossible to hide their secret with XANA constantly breaking free and revealing himself to the world. They together found a secret within the world, called Code: Lyoko. Aelita had the power to enter "Towers" within the digital world, which could be used for transportation within the world, or activated to increase the super-computer's power. Aelita could enter Code: Lyoko into the computer, which would disable the tower, and then Jeremy could use the Super Computer's hidden power... Return to the Past. They would return back to the start of the day, with no one other than those having ever entered Lyoko remembering what had happened. Over the course of a few years, these five friends have made enemies, defeated XANA numerous times, and met more allies. Many things have happened over the course of those years, but a few things haven't changed: They remained loyal to each other. They continued to fight XANA, and stop him from taking over the world. And they always won. ####Plot The story had originally started in the year 2003 (Before computers were popular, or the all-mighty iPhone), and ended sometime around 2007. I will say season 1 was 2003, season 2 2004, season 3 2005, season 4 2006, and CL:E 2007. This RP, starts at the end of season 4, before CL:E for reasons that will be explained in the far future of the RP. The story starts with new kids (Suddenly, as they hadn't been there in CL:E, HINT HINT) arriving at the school, just to find out a bunch of kids had gone missing. Odd Della Robbia, Jeremie Belpois, Ulrich Stern, Yumi Ishiyama, Aelita Schaeffer, and William Dunbar. This new group will suddenly find the secrets these kids had been hiding, and set out on a mission to find them, only to cause more chaos in their wake. They will fight the old enemies of the digital world, as well as new threats within their own world. These new kids start their day on campus, registering with the Jean Pierre Delmas, the Principal, and being assigned to their rooms. Soon they will discover the secrets, and set out to find the missing kids. It is up to them to save the world, or let it fall under XANA's rule. --- ####Rules 1. No Powergaming. That means if you get in a fight, you can't just throw a punch and suspect to hit your enemy. This usually is for only other players, but I am expanding this to include NPCs, to help emphasis you are NOT as powerful as the old warriors, and things are not as easy as they would seem! 2. No Metagaming. If someone says something in OOC, you don't know it in IC. If XANA starts an attack, you can't suddenly know about it. If Sissy is about to pull a prank on you, you can't ninja your way out of it! 3. No Godmodding. A wall of lasers is going to hit you. Deal with it. Characters take blows, and in the real world, not very well. If you get thrown ten feet, you're going to be in a lot of pain. 4. Do not create computer-savvy characters. It makes it more interesting if we have a single person who knows how to run the computer, and it's no fun if everyone is a complete genius. 5. Do not create combat-related characters. We don't need tons of kung-fu masters, or army-brats, or anything similar to that. It's no fun if everyone already knows how to fight... make it more painful for your character, it makes the story more interesting! 6. No characters are allowed to be related to existing characters. You may not RP as any existing characters. We don't need a million Odd's sisters, or Ulrich's younger brothers, or anything like that. If you're out of ideas, create yourself! I'm pretty sure you're an interesting character. ;) 7. If you do not know about XANA, please do not try to find out "Like a boss!" and shove your way into a situation. Think about the show. Rarely did people ever find out... and how did they handle it when they did? You will be chosen to be a warrior in time, but only if you don't over push it! (Make sure you give a LITTLE push... just not "I FOUND IT! LET ME IN!") 8. What admins say, goes. 9. There is already a full story-line in mind, so please don't try to stray from it by going nutso and leading everything astray. I've had this happen many times before. 9. Mention the fact there are two question nines, to prove the fact you've read the rules! If you do not, you will be redirected here, and laughed at behind your back. 10. Your character's outfit will be picked by me, as it is based off of your characters personality, and is better if someone other than yourself decides. (For example: Johnny A makes a poor child, but in the digital world they are super-ninja-cat with laser guns! No. That makes no sense!) If you have an idea for your outfit... fine... but please, make it reasonable. 11. Rules are meant to be MADE MORE OF! Rules will appear out of nowhere... BE WARNED. ####Maps ####Kadic Junior High Kadic Junior High school (Also Kacid Academy) located in Sceaux, a suburb of Paris.   "Kadic is made up of various buildings, most of them connected to one another, others not. These buildings include the Dormitory Building, the Science Building, the Cafeteria,Administrative Building, and various other locations. Kadic also has a Park, a Track and a Recreation Room (opened in Wreck Room) for the students in their free time. Kadic is a boarding school, and therefore the students live there, though a small number of local students, including Yumi, commute to it as if it was a normal school. Classes occur 6 days a week, according to Ulrich, but there are no classes on holidays or Sundays. This may change, as most French schools are now adopting the American version of the school week. Students are allowed to leave the grounds with permission. The Sewers connect it to the Factory. There are various entrances to the Sewers as well, though the one in the Park is the most used. There is also a tunnel from the Gym. The school is also racially and culturally diverse, containing many people who are French-African or those of Japanese, Chinese, German, and Indian origin. The school hosts runs a number of clubs, ranging from the Pencak Silat classes taken by Ulrich and Yumi (and taught by Jim) to the film club run by Pierre Chardin, of which Odd was a member. Other clubs include the photo club and the drama club. Kadic also has its own paper, dubbed the Kadic News, run by Milly and Tamiya." -codelyoko.wikia Floorplans  The Science room. It is the main center of the RP (Aside from the school) and is where the Lyoko Warriors enter Lyoko, and fight XANA.  It has multiple floors, six in total. The top floor simply has walkways so you can walk around. There's also a bridge that enters in on this floor. To get down to the next floor, you must take the stairs that are towards the right on the entrance, or climb down one of the three ropes. The second floor is directly below, and contains the elevator that leads down. It also has a few rooms with various old equipment. It has access to staircases that lead down to the boiler room.  The next floor down is the machine room. It is accessed by the elevator or the boiler room.  The next floor down is the Lab, it contains the factories mainframe computer, which is also use to control the Super Computer. Jeremy hung out in that room most of the time. It is accessed by the lift.  The next room below is the Scanner room. It is used for transporting the Lyoko Warriors to Lyoko. It can be accessed through the lift, or a hatch that leads up to the Lab.  The last room is the Supercomputer room. It contains the Supercomputer, and is accessed by either using the lift, or an access hatch in the middle of the room, which connects to the Scanner room. Please read the notes below) ##1 Username: Teknonick | Character Name: Josive Ferrara | Character Age: 13 | Character Gender: Male | Character Grade: 8th Appearance: Josive's hair color is a jet black, and kept at average length. He wears a long-sleeve blue shirt, and simple jeans. His shoes are good for running in, but not any big-name brands. He weighs about a hundred pounds, and stands four feet and eleven inches tall. Personality: Josive's personality is usually shy to those he doesn't know, but completely open to anyone he has met before, even for a few seconds. Josive tends to be very serious at times, and tries to think things logically before acting. Biography: Josive Ferrana was a very smart baby, no, a genius. Within his first months he learned to walk and talk, and soon after learned to solve puzzles. As he grew older, so did his intelligence. He learned coding and robotics, always spending his money on more parts rather than magazines or games. Josive's parent's relationship was always debatable, which pushed him even farther away from them, and henceforth pushing his parents away more. Josive preferred being alone, which also lead to his curious behavior. Josive was the kid that would enter an abandoned house, just to see what was inside, or climb up a tree to see a little farther. As he grew older, his parents got farther and farther away, almost to the point of divorce. Often, he would be sent away to his grandfather's house, and play with him, or learn more about programming. His grandfather was very into computers and hunting (A strange mix) which led to Josive learning to hunt. Though, Josive barely retains any knowledge of the skill of hunting, he still thinks back to the days with his grandparent. On Josive's twelfth birthday, he got the worst gift a child could get. His parents were almost at the point of violence, but they wanted better for their child. They decided to send him off to a school where he could be by himself, and not see them fight. He was sent to Kadic junior high school, about a whole state away, so he got a room inside the junior high school. As a gift, his grandfather gave Josive a locket of himself, so he could remember him. The better gift he liked. Exactly a month ago is when Jeremy and his friends had gone missing, and there was absolutely no sign of them coming back. Josive is about to be assigned Jeremie's room. Little does he know he will be taking on a bigger challenge than junior high school. Other: I think I should take a look at the rules again. Especially rule 9. That one's my favorite. ##2 Username: Spades | Character Name: Chàrlie Chapeau | Character Age: Fourteen |Character Gender: Female | Character Grade: 8th Appearance: Chàrlie is a girl of above average height, appearing about '5"5, and her weight is an even balance to it. Her skin tone is light brown, being of mixed race (French and Hatian). Her hair is curly, shoulder length, and is dark brown in color with more copper undertones. On her face is a battle of both her parents' genes: she has her father's nose, mother's light brown eyes, her dark eyebrows, but her father's thin lips. What she wears is simple, a color blocked sweatshirt in colder weather and jeans, and red converse. In warmer weather she prefers shorts and a crop-topped flowy blue shirt with floral accents, and a thin black tank-top underneath, and the same red converse. Her hair is almost always down, but occasionally for a bit of change she'll gather her mess of stubborn curls and pull them into a high ponytail. Personality: Not knowing her, Chàrlie may appear distant and quiet, but still kind. Yet if you grow closer in friendship, this seems to change dramatically: she can grow extremely excited, loud, and funny. When she's not cracking perverted jokes or making snide comments about one of the more popular girls, she plays the role of a good listener and considerate friend. She may not exactly open up to you with her problems, but you can always come to her. Her darker side isn't all that apparent, it really only is seen if someone talks maliciously about her or a friend. She may not confront them, but she will let lose to a friend a string of whispered curses that would make a sailor blush. Biography: Chàrlie's family is small and close-knit, and always had been. She'd always had a good relationship with her parents, being an only child, so she was quite annoyed when they decided to send her to her Haitian grandmother in order to "branch out and find new friends and learn about her heritage!" She was twelve at the time. Chàrlie didn't quite like the change of surroundings, but she grew to love her Mémé Lani's blunt and straightforward personality. She learned to cook from her Mémé, which she loves to do immensely. She began to attend school in the area, Kadic Academy, and progressed decently there, becoming a pretty good soccer player. The time came at age thirteen when she had to make a choice: go back to her family in Nice or stay in Paris. She decided to stay with her grandmother, finding the opportunities offered at Kadic were preferable then the other schools she could have attended. Other: but there aren't two number nines.. I only saw one.. ##3 Account Name: RawrgnatheBloodfridge | Character Name: Arndt Schulz | Character Age: 13 | Character Gender: Male | Character Grade: 8th Appearance: Arndt constantly sports some sort of Beanie on top of his head, even holding a prized collection of them. His hair is long enough to be seen poking out the back and front of his beanie and has a distinctly coffee brown look to it. His eyes are an emerald shade of green, and his eyebrows fairly thin. He normally wears some sort of T-shirt with an un-done button-up shirt over it. Generally preferring jeans, though he'll wear shorts whenever it gets hot and runs on Adidas shoes. He stands at 5'2", weighing in at 124 pounds. Personality: Arndt has a hard-working attitude, with a dry sense of humor. Though he does act stubborn and hard-headed initially, he warms up to others very quickly, becoming very loyal and even protective to an extent. Arndt is normally a rational thinker, never really going outside of the box or thinking abstractly, but just trying to get through life with the rules he's given. Biography: Arndt grew up in Western Germany living in the city of Bielefeld. His parents were strict, always pushing the virtue of hard-work onto his shoulders. As Arndt grew up, he was constantly worked to the bone, hardly allowed time for anything but helping his father with carpentry and schoolwork. When Arndt turned ten years old, he was enrolled into a private school where he was taught the importance of History and Science, despite being told earlier in his life that he only needed hard work and persistence. The only thing that gave him much anjoyment was collecting beanies he would buy whenever his family went on trips. At the age of twelve his family received a letter asking him to come to a school in France called Kadic. His parents at first were reluctant, but at being told he would move in, they immediately agreed. Now being forced to adjust to French society, Arndt enters Kadic Junior-high as an 8th grader. Other: Even though the number 9 wasn't on there twice, I guess I'll make a comment about it. ####THERE WILL BE A LYOKO WARRIORS SECTION, A MONSTERS SECTION, AND AN NPCS SECTION. NOT NOW, OF COURSE, BECAUSE I WILL BE PUTTING THEM IN THE "CHARACTERS" SECTION. PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THAT SECTION AFTER THE CONCEPT CHECK, UNTIL I POST NPCS, AND MONSTERS FIRST. FYI, I hate not having hiders. Or hiders within hiders. :(

My old guild user was Mura, but I barely interacted with anyone or was on, lol. If you were ever in wikifoundry/wetpaint roleplays, that'd be a different story, haw haw. Is it a problem if I haven't seen CL:E?

Since the RP starts before that time period, the events of CL:E will become altered by this alternate universe, thus making it different. Events having happened in CL:E will be mentioned, and even changed, and will include spoilers within the RP. But, if you haven't seen it, that doesn't matter. I wouldn't mind people who don't know anything about CL in the first place to join! That way, they get a fresh start and are more shocked and realistic when their characters encounter things.

I MUST say that there will be only a few Lyoko Warriors... and not all chosen at first. But, do not fret! There ARE other spots to be taken! Part of the plot allows for more types of characters, being part of different groups. :3 Since there are so many people joining, I will now have to add another rule: It is now hereby claimed, players may only have ONE important character. Other characters will be extras, and may help during events, but they may not be added to any groups that will remember. I will allow exceptions to this rule sometimes, mainly if people quit or if not everyone who claims are interested actually join. I've had that happen, where tons of awesome people want to join, but never do once it starts.

What's this? Code Lyoko? I'll gladly join if there are spots open. Though my memory of the show is a bit hazy, (I'll have to re-watch the series again) I'll RP to the best of my ability.
