Wheatley turned to look at the man who had spoken. He was slightly confused as the man had used the words "fool" and "intelligent" in the same sentence with both referring to him. He stood up to get a better look at the man's face. He was just barely shorter. That alone surprised him. But what was more surprising was the orange glow in the man's eyes he'd seen just seconds before standing. It was gone now and made him wonder if he'd really seen it. "Um, are you familiar with this place? No of course not." Wheatley shook his head the way he did when he knew his idea was a bad one. "But where would we go? I mean, this field- it's *huge!* I'm sure it isn't the only part of this world- or whatever this place is- but what if night falls and we're still walking and- oh what if there are animals?! I've never seen an animal before. I wouldn't know what to do!" His mind was whirring with questions and scary answers. He could hear the circuitry humming in his own head. "*System overload. Emergency cooldown in 5...-*" "No no no no no! That is not necessary!" He pressed his hands to his ears in a slightly desperate gesture. "*Stalemate detected. Instructions?*" The tinny voice didn't sound the least bit sincere. Whoever created it obviously didn't really care. "Cancel cooldown?" Wheatley looked sheepishly at the man. "*Cooldown cancelled.*" "Good." He let out a slight sigh of relief. "Sorry about that. There has to be some kind of setting inhere somewhere to turn that off. Anyways. Forget the animals. Let's go." He chuckled nervously and ran his hand through his hair making it stick up again. "I'll figure it out on the way." He was talking the way he did when he had no idea what he was doing. Overconfident and reassuring. Like he was trying to convince himself that he wasn't a moron and that he could figure this out if he tried hard enough. He hoped the man would interpret all of this as just being confused. Maybe even tack it under "nervous wreck of an android."
